It was funny how your Stamina circle eventually got so massive it took up like 1/4th of the screen

In the PS2 version you could get up there with only a small amount of stamina because the diagonal-upward jump was bugged (it didn't reduce stamina).

And then you get to the top and…. ?

"Um, actually..." SotC was developed as a PS1 game but got delayed just long enough that it became one of the PS2's first titles. Yeah, I know... It blows my mind too.

@@CERTAIND00M why would you lie about that. The game came out in the end of 2005 because I bought it at that time when I was in ninth grade. The ps3 came out within a year of that. This was the very end of the ps2 so it’s weird for you to say that at all. Not only that anyone with common sense can see the graphics and the polygon level used in the game aren’t even possible on PlayStation One. Or even in the early years of ps2 before double layered discs. You made this entirely up

Hell Ico came out on ps2 and everyone knew this was gonna be the spiritual successor to ico longgggg before sotc even came out. People talked about this game forever before it finally came out

The PS2 game is perfect... aside from that atrocious single-digit framerate you get during colossus battles. I'm hard-pressed to recommend the re-releases for newcomers, for a myriad of reasons, but at the same time... that goddamn framerate. lmao

Getting the platinum trophy is tedious for sure, but it was magnitudes harder on the ps3 version specifically, because that version fucked up the climbing physics to the point that the *slightest* colossus movements make Wander lose balance. Playing through the main game like this is hard enough, but the challenge/time trial modes become borderline impossible.

Actually, you got it backwards (don't feel bad; they made it super unclear on purpose.) Ico takes place hundreds of years after SotC, at the end of which Wander released the pieces of Dormin trapped inside all those colossi and nearly doomed the entire kingdom in the process. That's why every time a boy with horns is born, they sacrifice him (which is what's happening at the beginning of Ico) because they are worried he is going to be another Wander. I haven't played the Last Guardian but that one is supposed to be take place after Ico.

Wait, really?! I always thought it was because fluid molecules were always rubbing all over each other but it makes sense why metal ALSO conducts electricity, when its molecules stay pretty much put.

@@CERTAIND00M Relative to a fluid with dissolved minerals, yeah, metal is practically standing still, but nothing ever really is until it's at absolute zero. Even then you start getting weird new properties, like superconductivity causing quantum craziness lol. Even within metals though, there are some rules I don't properly understand about electron exchange. Like how copper is the most conductive while things like aluminum kind of suck at it (relatively). Then you've got metallic forms of other elements, and even molecules. Metal forms of salts like sodium, lithium and (the most reactive) cesium, which all violently react with water. A RU-vidr called Thunderf00t aka Dr. Phil Mason actually did groundbreaking research on cesium which was all posted to RU-vid. The same guy also managed to make METALLIC WATER! Anton Petrov did a good vid on that. Turns out, it's gold in colour... Anyway, I just have a layman's understanding but a big interest in this stuff, and the term "metals" can get really weird when you get into chemistry etc. In astronomical terms, "metals" when talking about stars means EVERYTHING except hydrogen and helium! It's all over the place lol, but there are great resources right here on YT for this stuff.

I think adumplaze has a rather small fanbase because you have to be open minded enough to enjoy watching gay furry jokes while also being the kind of person who enjoys scoots edgy humor. Somewhat small center in that venn diagram i think

The PS2's resolution was 640x480. So unless we're talking about emulation (with upscaling & graphic mods), if you can't see the pixels = its the remake.

Yup, it's actually revealed at the end that the colossi were made to contain an ancient evil. By killing them, you are unleashing that evil. Which is why you grow horns and become more evil-looking, the farther you get into the game.
