Yngwie certainly is one of the best up there with the likes of Iommi, Van Halen, George Lynch, Ritchie Blackmore, Wolf Hoffman, Eric Clapton and Chris Holmes
JLT was definitely a good singer and this was my favorite Ywinge album. But, listening to it all of these years later, I gotta say, it sounds like a cheesy song from an 80s movie montage.
A few things in this video remind me of "You Give Love A Bad Name" - The vocal opening, the pyro blast when the band kicks in And the same vocals after the guitar solo with only a back beat supporting
I can really appreciate Joe Lynn Turner and I can tolerate Yngwie stop doing the kicks that's Nancy Wilson's job you don't look good doing it she does however
This is 1 song that I wished that Joe Lynn Turner can use in auditions. I wished that Journey took him. The writing ✍ in addition with the singing would have been great 👍. JLT =/= Steve Perry. Yet, the drop off would be much less. Nothing against Arnel Pineda or the previous successors to Steve Perry. I am simply saying that Neal Schon should have given JLT a chance. NS wanted a younger singer. OK 👌 Different perspective (because Arnel Pineda is from The Philippines 🇵🇭) and energy level 🔋. Another change that I would have liked 👍 was having Mutt Lange as producer to the follow up of Trial by Fire 🔥. But, Lange was busy with then wife Shania Twain, Jessica Andrews, Britney Spears and other singers. Imagine: JLT + Journey + Mutt Lange = harmonies + tighter drums and bass + smoothness in the recording + the Lange touch on the songwriting and arranging! 🤯
It's a cool song for sure. I just feel like the video is a tad bit disjointed. It's like Yngwie comes in with the hard riffs and the fast licks, and then it's like, "OH CRAP! You want a singer? Here's a singer." I say that with all due respect to Joe, because he sounds great. The team aspect could've been worked on for the video. Otherwise, it's more like Yngwie, and some people behind him.
Turner is the Best but This is an Ok album.a few masterpieces and many ricotta songs.Eclipse is a much better album or Fire and Ice in my view are way superior.Seven sign is also perhaps His Best
I love all of YM's Rising Force albums, but Eclipse, Fire & Ice, Odyssey, Facing The Animal, Magnum Opus, The Seventh Sign, Trial By Fire: Live In Leningrad are my favorites!!! It's a shame Yngwie doesn't want to have a singer anymore.....

Joe is a cool singer, who's managed to maintain his voice remarkably well up to the present day. He's managed to improve most of the bands he joined - with the couple of cases where people raise an eyebrow - being when he replaced legends - and still he did so, with pretty damn good results. He deserves every bit and ounce of respect, for being who he is. Sufficiently rock star, w/o being an egomaniac and very talented at the same time. Fantastic.
I don't care how cheesy this album is, I always come back to it and it's probably my favorite yngwie album. Turner is my favorite yngwie singer, I wish they did more together. I think Yngwie's tone on this album is also one of his best
Was this the only album with JLT? I remember this song growing up but not much else but I love these 2 together and I wanna get some cds but were there different lead singer's for different albums!! I grew up on Crue Cinderella White Lion Europe Poison Skid Row Winger Kiss Ozzy Metallica and so on and sadly my childhood cassette collection was destroyed in a flood and I'm trying to get my favorites and some I just didn't follow like Iron Maiden WASP Hurricane Dirty Looks XYZ and others that I absolutely love today!! I was only 14 but still.
