Bert Padell is a legendary Accountant, Business Manager and Tax Attorney who is responsible for the success of some of greatest entertainers of our time.
I've known Bert for over 20 years, and over those 20 years I have received some of the best advice, knowledge and support when it comes down to the music business and just life itself. Between him and Karl Graham, I absolutely apply the knowledge that they so un-selfishly furnished me with to my life everyday. I remember the first day that I ever stepped foot in his office, my head spun around in a 360 motion I was absolutely breathless to see all of his accomplishments hanging on the wall gold and platinum records from every artist that you can imagine, from sports memorabilia especially baseball, to just any and every type of quirky type of art it was amazing. I remember when he sat me down and told me whatever you do, do it fully and do it to the best of your ability and as far as you starting your record label today, you'll be ok, you will be just fine I'll make sure of that. Bert went on to tell me about his childhood and how he loved the game of baseball so much that he became a batboy for the Yankees, and how baseball gave him his start. I can go on and on about what he told about his life that day, but I'll be writing for hour's., but I will end by saying this, you'll never know when you will meet that person that will put your life into a phenomenal prospective, for me, it was Bert Padell he let me know that the music business was and still is a beast of it's own but if you love it and you love being In it you'll do fine, just surround yourself and your company with the right people and you'll be just fine. Enjoy your retirement my friend, it's well deserved !
Just seen an article on variety magazine came on my news-feed and i googled his name. How come i never heard of this guy? Rest in Paradise! You fought the good fight.
BERT IS THE TRUE EMBODIMENT OF GENIUS....A GREAT FRIEND AND GREAT PERSON....AKA FED D....BEEN KNOWING BERT FOR 30TY YEARS...THOSE LITTLE TREES THAT HE TELLS THEM NEVER TO DUST OFF.. CLEAN EVERYTHING ELSE .. I GAVE THEM TO HIM ...IN 87 OR 88...
