I grew up during this.. Was in elementary school. They had the streets shook. Shot someone near my dads job. He literally has shown me the woods they hid in. We couldn't go outside for recess. You had to go outside for my grade's class rooms so they made all of us (like 5 classes) have class together in the gym for a few weeks.
My nigga anyone that lived in the DMV area shit was real .I was in Middle school going to a Catholic school and we had morning prayers outside . Any white van come by we all ran lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My family lived in the DMV (still do) and have stories of how when the DC Sniper went around, everyone was scared to go outside. And how everyone felt unsafe whenever they stepped outside. Kinda horrifying if you really think about it.
Was living in DC when these shootings was going on I was 6 at the time. All I really remember was my parents telling to not go outside to play or anything because the sniper attacks. It was a wild time believe me.

What was wild is that the first victim got shot right up the street from my crib. I was barely 2 and my fam was telling me about how scared the whole DMV area was while they were on the loose. Wicked ass times😔
I was 2 1/2 years old when this happened. My dad would tell me how everyone was scared to do everyday things because they feared they were going to be the next victim. It’s crazy to think that everyday I pass by the gas stations, shopping centers and bus stops where these psychopaths terrorized everyday citizens.
There have been times where I want to do something outside and my parents dont let me because of recent events but I wouldnt listen. This is one of those moments where if I wanted to do something and I heard about what was going on, im not stepping foot outside. This dude was quick scoping random people doing anything.

There was this story of a man who stopped at a rest stop to let his girlfriend use the bathroom, when he saw a man sitting in a car dogging him. He got a bad feeling about it and grabbed his gf and dipped. That ended up being the DC snipers.
I remember a story my grandparents told me about the dc sniper visiting their home. Ya’ll should watch the movie based on them as it shows how they really pick their victims. Yes it was random but thats as far as selection goes.They would get cordial with the victim first before heading off then later the murder happened as shown on the movie. this during the beginning of the spree before demands where made and they really just start shooting ppl left and right. Anyways they remember the teenager visiting randomly which was lee apparently, I don’t know what was said but when he heard my grandfather accent(Jamaican) i can assume he just left them alone because of course they found it weird that a random kid popped up then quickly leave within a few mins. DC sniper was hitting PG County too. Had us walking in zig zags and had neighborhoods lookin like ghost towns
