小説を読んで、さらに曲も聴いた後に、「夜に駆ける」と対になりそうな曲だと思っていましたが、MVもそんな雰囲気があって好きです！ ワンピースを着た女の子や蝶々、死を匂わせる描写は夜に駆けると共通しています。 ただ、夜に駆けるは、「生→死」の時間軸なのに対して、海のまにまには「死→生」の時間軸になっているので、実際には似ているようで真逆の曲なんですよね。 (夜に駆けるでは「日が昇るまで→夜に駆け出していく」、海のまにまにでは「夜に置いてって→朝の光で目が覚めた」) MVでは、夜に駆けるは結局二人で下に落ちていくのに対して、海のまにまには落ちそうになっている主人公を、女の子が上に引き上げてくれている、という描写が対照的です。海のまにまにの結末は「生」なのだと伝わってきます。 夜に駆けるとの共通点や異なるところを探してさらに楽しむことができましたが、海のまにまに自体大好きな曲です。素敵なMVありがとうございます！

毎回神曲と神MV出せるのすごいな

この曲聴いたあと、大体ストーリー分かってたつもりだったけど、本当に原作気になって、本買って読んでみたけど、予想外の内容というか展開で良い意味でゾワッと来た。で、そのあとにこの曲また聴いたら、そういうことか！と全てが辻褄合った。すごいですね。本当に魔法みたい。

This is so touching 😭 At the same time, the video shows the girl with white dress saving the main character from suicide .. look how sincere the girl she'd met to live a happier life as the feelings they had on their lit up small fireworks... I believe the fireworks are metaphor showing the sai final light to be seen, the train is a suicidal trip, and the white dressed girl is the main character's true friend, unlike the other people she have met in school who didn’t accept her. The story is so relatable and I hope I could find a true friend like that girl in white dress with a serious look. (I saw the video with English translation and the author said, based on its novel reference, that girl is a ghost... but wait, the main character can touch the white dressed girl! The ghost has no physical body, therefore, she's a new best friend~ Her character is so admirable ❤)

この曲出て半年以上近く経つまでなぜかYOASOBIで唯一１回も聞いた事なくて、 何気なく再生して一気に世界観に引き込まれました。 小説などの活字にほとんど触れて来ない生活でしたが、 もっとこの物語を理解したくて小説まで読み、 Ayaseさんの歌詞への書き起こし、それを歌うikuraさんの表現力、 改めてYOASOBIというグループのコンセプトが他と異質かを実感しました。 間違いなく、私含め誰かの中で人生を変える曲の1つなると思います。

原作も知らず、ワンピース少女の言葉の意味もわからないまま聴き入ってたら、3:51のナイフが海へ来た理由を物語ってて泣きそうになった。 素晴らしい作品をありがとう。

The backstory was similar with what happened to me last September. I was stressed with bullying and some problems at school. I tried to do "that" (not run away from home or school, but the "s"), but there's something saved me. When I heard this song for the first time on November, I cried for many times, remembered what happened to me two months before. Now I feel better and I think this is my most related and nostalgic YOASOBI song (although I still can't sing it until the end cause of my bad memories-but it'll be precious someday, I think). For YOASOBI, thank you so much for making this song! I love the melody so much. And also for Asuka Dokai-san, thanks a lot! The MV is perfect and I like its style!

やっぱ天才だ。。。 中盤でベースの出番がまったくなくなるっていう不思議すぎる構成。サビの帯域の広がり。 絶妙に跳ねる歌メロとそれを寸分の狂いもなく歌いこなすikuraさん。 相変わらずマスタリング完璧すぎる。
