For good reason you are one of my favourite diorama builders. Your approach is so economical and clever and your explanations are easy to follow. I could totally see you working as a Lucasfilm employed diorama creator at Star Wars Celebrations, teaching and helping out people of all ages interested in the craft. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much for the kind words! haha, nothing extraordinary here, anyone can do this i promise you! appreciate you stopping by always nice to see comments like this!
You always comment that your dioramas are attempts but I think that these could be store bought sets. Its crazy how awesome these dioramas are. The first video I watched of yours was the sarlacc pit diorama and I was amazed.
ha you're too generous thanks so much, but seriously, someone skilled can definitely do a much better job and probably use much better materials if they want to sell it. Thanks much for your support and taking the time to comment
Hi, your display is very good. Ive watched alot of your videos and i like all your displays. Its cool that you make them from things that you have lying around your home, great displays keep them coming.
Budget Jedi, I have been watching your channel since 2011 when I was 9, and I was sad because I loved all you dioramas, but I couln't make them myself. Now I'm 13 and I have an allowance, so now I can make your dioramas! Thanks for inspiring and entertaining me all these years!
it is always great to see the progression of your dioramas. they may not look as good at different stages but when you see it come together you see how all the elements fit in. you did a wonderful job as always.
Haha Mark you hit the nail on the head, in fact most times I don't know how the heck this is all going to turn out. And believe me sometimes I do fail as well! lol thanks for stopping by man
Very cool, once again! Sometimes I look at how you start crafting your diorama and I wonder how it's all going to work and make sense, but you ALWAYS end up with a finished product that makes great creative use of inexpensive materials, and this one is a winner as well! Great stuff! Great job!!
Thanks, yeah in fact, sometimes I wonder if it's going to work too, you see a lot of my videos are just experimentation and most of the time it works haha. Thanks for the comment !
amazing! cool how you made the yoda hut you really can't tell that it was just a former helmet.it looks so real.and by using the insulating foam spray man that looks so real and kinda accurate to the movie inviroment.i'm speachless!
I’m loving the hut itself and the way the spray insulation looks great but they have a great moss at the dollar store I would make the surrounding area smaller
The most talented man I know!! Your works almost gives me the goose bums! If I have an inch of your talent in dio making, I would be jumping for joy! You have set another new standard again BudgetJedi, I really how are you going to top this one. Bravo!!!
haha thanks a lot Peter, you always know how to boost my ego lol. Honestly I have to thank that Great stuff that's really what made the whole diorama. Thanks for watching!
I love it's simplicity, looks like something I could see Hasbro using in a toy commercial. That is, IF they still actually made toy commercials anymore. :-( Thanks for sharing!
Awesome---thats a big diorama my friend--great stuff has 101 uses--haha--really came out great --dark and gritty --just like Dagobah----and no other better place to build a dio than on the kitchen table--hehe--I am still thinking about how I am going to build mine--its gotta fit in my detolf---thanks for sharing my friend
Thanks bud haha i know right? I completely used up my great stuff finally. lol the budgetjedi trusty dining table. I don't have space for mine, was thinking of cutting it detolf size and sending it to you maybe lol
TheBudgetJedi Thanks for the tutorial! this is absolutely the best way to do this! Hey E really glad to know that you got your order from those guys...Im still waiting on mine! Anyways good to see a dio from you again in the 3 3/4 scale. The trees & vines are my favorite parts they got the perfect look.
hahhaa @ tutorial. Hey if you haven't gotten your order, be sure to write him, he will respond. I've gotten all my orders so that's weird that you have not. Thanks so much for watching and the comment man, anything i can do to improve let me know
TheBudgetJedi Well the thing I wished I could have seen was more of a background on the walls instead of the black spray paint...even if it was really simple like a faded swath of blue, it would also help to make the hanging vines stand out even more. If you really wanted to get fancy, you could extend the sense of space by painting trees fading into the background. I recommend Bob Ross method.
Well done again I think it'd be cool with Luke's "camp" and maybe the light in Yoda's house to be a little brighter but great the trees bring it all to life and this is one of your best
Thanks, and yes, it would be so perfect for Alien Queen Diorama for sure. Be sure to not let the wet great stuff touch your figures until it's all dry, it is impossible to remove!
A cool diorama I think you should do is the Jedi Library in the Jedi Temple. That would be a really nice diorama and I'm sure fun to do! You'll be the first one to do it also!
I love your videos! You actually inspired me to start making my own dioramas. I was hesitant to start due to costs, but you have shown me that you can make awesome dioramas without busting the bank. Keep up the videos!!
You might be able to get that elevated effect by using a strong wire or dowel stick. This is what is needed though. Place some moss around the swamp and use some to hide the ships method of elevating by using strong wire (or thin dowel sticks). Make it as if some swamp plants was struck on the ship, but leaving a trail of plant life as it is elevating, yet still held together (like stretching taffy),by massive weight of the plants still in the swap. Glue some plants life clinging to the ship but already out of the swamp, and some still being pulled upwards. I
Very smart indeed a great idea! in fact yes, there was a huge moss trail as the xwing was coming out of the water, so why not right? great comment as usual man thanks
