Im sure many of you out there have seen or heard people yodeling, but Taylor is like so cool... Watch out when she proves that she can sing and yodel at the same time...
Camille's got it right....Taylor is a very sweet and natural child who is not being pressured to perform; I personally find the "toddlers&tiaras "kind of parents disgusting ! They regard their offspring as property and expect their investments to pay off big time so that they can live in luxury from their children's earnings until the kids turn 18 and put a stop to it!!
Taylor Ware is a magnificent talent!! She is simply the best......She should have won AGT with this awesome performance!! Her first two performances on AGT were really great, but this performance was just so wonderful, it topped the others.......she should have won by a landslide!!
Glad to hear you're a fan. Now I know there are at least two of us. Actually, there are more yodeling fans than there are fans who will admit it. Her "Crazy Yodeling" video has been watched for more than 100 years. Somebody out there likes yodeling.
All the yodeling aside (which is alot harder than she makes it look) her underlying singing voice is really good and full. Especially considering she is only 12 here.She could make a career without the yodeling just as easy. Glad to see she has gotten in with Dollywood. They will know how to handle a talent like hers. I remember Dolly could yodel incredibly as well so hopefully this lil gal will go far.
And 2 of the judges' comments after the act strongly supported her. Brandy's comment was cut short by Piers Morgan. In the final analysis, all 3 voted to advance her again. And notice that the audience came to their feet in a standing ovation. As Piers Morgan said, she was brilliant that night. I have never seen her not brilliant.
some of her own material that sounded original. Most of these "TALENTED" people are talented using someone elses song or material or doing something that we've seen before and thats it. Taylor may have not written Itty Bitty, but she did put her own unique and wonderful touch on it.
I finally broke down, and bought a copy of Alan Jackson's greatest hits volume 2 for the song Little Bitty. I wish I had Taylor's version though. I hope that she has some concerts planned for the summer, because I would like to have some of her music to enjoy add to my collection. I only collect GOOD music that I really like, and I do like Taylor's music very much. She did something that many people haven't, she invented her own music genre or style, for that she is a revolutionary.
when i first heard her i had my eyes closed and thought she is ok tben i looked at the video that was playing and was stunned..........she is fantastic
@hibernia22 : I don't know what the entire history is, but I know it's of German/Austrian/Swiss roots. It became sorta "Country-fied" in the States because a lot of German immigrants settled in the South and integrated some of their yodeling styles of music with the blue grass/country western ballads.
launs00, This is a performance that should have won the competition. On reflection, it is my favourite of the songs she performed and pehaps my favourite Taylor song ever.
Sorry, didn't mean to stir anything up. Don't know if you're a yodeling fan, but if you are, I hope you check out some of her other stuff. She does a variety of songs and of yodeling techniques. She also uses different techniques in different versions of He Taught Me How to Yodel. :)
Happy Birthday Taylor, you are great - totaly talented! Hope we wil hear from you more often in future - especially here in europe/germany, because i think I am one of the only germans who even knows about her :)
shoot, i would LOVE to live there! she's an amazing yodeler, but it starts to sound the same after a while. still, can't deny her voice and pitch and power. but she should try and experiment with keys and her ending step which she does after EVERY song, usually accompanied by a "Yee-Haw!" variety is good
I Love this video of Taylor and her others from AGT, especially the first one. She totally blindsided the three judges with her first perfomance as witnessed by Piers', David's and Randy's initial reactions. This little girl has real talent and great stage presence. Taylor also has a great singing voice. The other little girl was good but not as entertaining. I feel Taylor Ware should have won the AGT competition. However the exposure she got here was great for her. I wish her continued success.
My favorite act of all time by a vocal artist is Miss Ware's first performance of "He Taught Me How to Yodel" on AGT. Any yodeling song done by her is a favorite of mine. But check out Jimmie Rodgers' "Waiting for a Train". Also the work of Roy Rogers, Melanie Oesch, and Naomi Bristow. "Chime Bells" is very pretty. There is a lot of good yodeling on the internet.

Yes, she won the competition. This was the 3rd time she won that hands down. No, she did not win the election. So she won the competition but wasn't elected to be awarded the prize. I've seen the same thing happen to others on American Idol.

I think it would piss me off to be a backup dancer for a little kid! lol. But I think she's awesome. I don't think the judges liked it too much though, wish you could see their response.
