Just watched it again. And though it's 2023 and, boy, have things changed, the comedy has not aged because it is so human. Even the pop-references are relevant - BIden's mind is still half dead and angry, Trump is angry, the Royals and Reality are surreal. The man is SO good. Look at his PERFECT and dialog- relevant hand expressions! His clever mix of the vernaculars of a clever Brooklyn chasid, Israeli cockiness, and sophisticated diplomat are brilliant. The writing is serious stuff. The performance is impeccable
Why wasn't he invited to any of the debates? He would've won hands down. If you remember, Pat Paulsen, a comedic regular on the Smothers Brothers, in the 60s, actually did run for President.
