Damn, love the new office space, watching this reminded me of what you've accomplished over the years. The Yogscast went from being two guys to a whole company, and to this day you keep expanding and exploring new avenues. All while still making us laugh daily :D
They were great but not necessarily better, over the years they've created a family of a bunch of different people that bring their own flair to the mix. I respect your opinion but don't voice it directly at me if it's negative.
For those of you who don't get the joke, the tour of the original office took a very long time to see. It began as a few brief tours of certain member's rooms and then cut off for a few years. The series finally ended when Turps was rushing out of the old office while they were moving out. Because of how long it took the series to end, everyone was making jokes about how something similar would happen for the new office. However, Turps has given us the full tour before they've even moved in, which is making yogtours fans, such as myself, very happy.
At first I thought the Hat Films room seemed so small compared to the old office but then i remembered that they used to work out of there living sharing a dining room table!
I've met the lads and Ross and Alex are really quite big. Like I'm 6'1" and I felt kind of small standing next to them - I'd guess they were two or three inches taller than me
Turps, It blows by arse off to see how much The Yogscast has grown. It all started with Simon and Lewis, then to a couple of friends, then in May 2011it became an actual company and now it's a fucking multi-million pounds enterprise. It's overwhelming what we all have achieved. With many ups and downs in the company and relations with different members, you guys have grown at a crazy rate. I'm really proud and happy of what The Yogscast has become. I hope to visit Y'all in the new offices in the future. Kindest regards, A true Yognau(gh)t
Yogscast just managed to time it really right and have good chemistry, they actually timed it just right multiple times. First they got kind of noticed for their good banter in WoW, then they caught the unimaginable success of Minecraft on the frontend and kind of being the lead channel for lets play content for Minecraft. Other people being friends kind of helped them in editing, building and just being internet chums as they are. Very natural progression.
I somehow get the feeling that their screams are still obscenely loud enough to get through, but in the other rooms it would sound so weak that it would seem like they're moaning.

Holy shit Turps this looks so cool! Especially being able to book out rooms, you're becoming like the RU-vid Space of the south west. Will the recording spaces be specifically for gaming RU-vidrs or will there be the scope for other types of RU-vidrs to use the space? Asking as I'm moving back home to Bristol in a few months and could do with a studio setup to record some videos... Very impressed by the new office, it looks incred!
The yogscast was the first channel I ever subscribed to back when I started watching RU-vid in 2011. I would run home and look to see if any videos had been uploaded and stay up all night watching the Jaffa factory, feed the world, black rock and so many more wonderful things that they have done. 6 years have gone very fast for me, I'm now 16 and can't wait to see more from you guys.
Definitely an upgrade for all those that were speculating... Love it Turps and please please please can we have a full tour once it’s all set up? Like a POV walking through the corridors and each room, seeing the office as it is day to day with everyone and everything inside. Sometimes it’s super hard to follow when it’s a vlog with the camera moving around loads. I wanna get a good idea of the layout and where links together, might just be me being weird but oh well. This is actually a very smart idea! Time is money, and all the time their recording rooms aren't being used to make videos but still have expensive equipment is being wasted. Not only is this adding another source of income so they can keep making the things we love to watch, but its also a great way to help other people out! Even if its pretty pricey to rent out a room to record, you'd still be saving on not having to buy all the expensive recording equipment! This is a very smart and great move for the Yogscast!

The rentable recording rooms are such a great idea, and not to mention a fantastic way for those with real potential and the drive to do well in this industry to get premium content out when they perhaps couldn't do so otherwise. Massive respect to the company that keeps on giving back.
Im a bit confused. So the hats get their own room (makes sense, their style kinda requires the interaction) but nobody else gets a personal room? Theyre all interchangeable?
BurningFyre It's not personal: there are three of them. And I think this allows it so even the lower down in the Yogscast can have their own room during recordings, not just Lewis, Duncan, Sjin, etc
Are there that many people who need personal offices? Kim doesn't record videos anymore. Neither does Simon. Someone said something about Sjin moving to Canada? Hannah does stuff at home. So it's basically just Lewis and Duncan.
You guys have literally come so far. The Yogscast has grown more than anyone probably ever imagined and also I like the coloured walls. Very nice walls. Good walls.
This is a wonderful thing that you're allowing other content creators like myself to use the space. I'm London based but for those based in the South-West this is awesome.
I mean, It's not random people. He said it'll be kinda pricey. So you either have to be a wealthy, deranged fan, or like he said, a RU-vidr who needs space to create content with quality equipment, and likely be able to make back off their video(s) what they spent renting the space, and then some.
its all in the name - they dont call it a studio for nothing - renting out studio space is a normal thing and they basically provide the space and expensive equipment to use for rent, which seems smart - yogscast also recently started venturing into publishing games - which seems to me a signal that they are trying to become more secure in their finances - which is why they are doing so much more twitch content than they used to - youtube is not handing out as much cash as is needed for these companies to survive and pay out their staff in the long run - and especially in the early months after christmas it is really hard to get decent money from youtube

Another point, they need the money. A lot of RU-vidrs are complaining about income from just uploading. Let's not forget that Yogscast are a company. With loads of people hired; not just the content creators. Based on the last video, there are still more staff members that we don't know of.
Meh, the price of the ipads is probably a pittance in the grand scheme of this. They will definitely be able to display the room name/timeslots/whatever, but you could get cheaper, cooler looking monitors for that. I'm guessing you'll be able to interact with your ipad. Turps mentioned changing the lights, I'd bet that the ipad has controls for the lights, possibly temperature control, etc. etc.

Holy shit this is plain and simply impressive. It never really struck me how professionally organised and structured the Yogscast actually is I really hope you guys will have a lot more good years to come. I stopped watching the yogscast about 4 years ago but have recently got back into it through the Triforce podcast showing up in my old subscription to the yogpod. I'm really glad it did, it's like seeing old friends and it's so cool how far you've all come. The move seems like a great thing even though you basically got forced out of the old place. These new offices look dope.
He said it's secret until they've finished moving in. Just to reduce the amount of crazed fanboys and girls getting in the way/breaking in while they're getting set up

what makes you think that? there isn't any tall building in fish ponds, like what you can see outside of windows at 3:30 and 3:57 edit: by tall i mean 4-5 stories
My only question is: are members of the Yogscast team (ie. Lewis, Sjin, Kim, Martyn, etc) going to have their own personalized rooms like in the old Yogtowers, or will they record in the big communal area in the downstairs, or will they book recording rooms that won't be customized by them?

Congratulations! You have made quite a name for yourself and have saved up a lot of capital. If you want to grow the company further then moving into a new office is the next step. I've found the perfect office, situated in a technology park. Would you like to move your company to the next level?

The new offices look cool, it looks like a lot of work has gone into making them just a generally nice place to be and to record, it's nice to have an insight into the behind the scenes of some Big RU-vidrs™, as always thanks Turps!
Man, I miss the old dedicated rooms. Each one different with the personality of the Yog in there. Oh well, still happy to see that they are growing and expanding their horizons.

This is really eye opening to how big an operation the Yogscast is now, more yogtours would be really interesting and maybe a video showing an average day in the office
The most exciting thing you said in this whole video was "Zip tap". Holy crud those are expensive. But seriously, this is such a step forward for Yogscast. We are all looking forward to where things go from here.

The Behringer X32 desk is great. Packed full of features and not prohibitively expensive. The Audio over Ethernet makes much more sense than trying to patch lots of XLR/TRS into lots of different rooms, and speaking from experience it makes things much tidier and much simpler to manage.
I think it's safe to say that now that YogTowers is gone, Turps has realised just how important it is to not forget about filming YogTours/Yog2ours. That's why we have the new tour beginning so quickly. The YogStudios is a clean slate for them, so they have to show it off, no delays.
