40 Minute Yoga Nidra for Exhaustion and Burnout
Are you tired? Stressed out? Overworked? Under-slept? Exhausted? Then this yoga nidra practice is exactly what you need. When our nervous system spends more time stimulate and activated in the sympathetic division of fight or flight, it becomes more difficult to return back to a state of balance or equilibrium. Deep rest and sleep becomes more challenging and symptoms of sleep deprivation can develop. Yoga nidra is an effortless guided meditative practice that uses systematic relaxation techniques to bring you into the deepest healing and regenerative sleep states we experience when we go to bed at night - the only difference is that an acute sense of awareness remains presence. Be effortlessly guided into a state of wakeful sleep where the body rests in stillness and the mind remains awake and aware. Here, the body undergoes rest and regeneration while the mind lets go of thinking and rests back into pure awareness itself. Just 45 minutes of yoga nidra can equate to about 3 hours of deep restful sleep. Get the deep rest that you need and the deepest rest that you deserve.
This practice takes you on a journey into the forest where you can rest, deeply. Be nurtured by the healing sounds of rain and a symphony of birds as the essence of water washes away tension, worries, fears and doubts. You might think of this practice like a healing balm or a cleansing bath for the whole body, mind, and central nervous system. Relax back into this cleansing experience and emerge feeling rested, restored, and renewed.

Was just coming on to find a practice. Here you are and perfect... I tested positive for COVID Friday...oooweee exhausted to say the least...and have been rolling in nidra as part of my healing and medicine. Will pop in after I practice. Grateful for you ♡

Thank you so much Kristyn for this beautiful offering. I've been doing Yoga Nidra with you and Ally everyday since getting Long Covid. Sometimes three times a day. It helps me feel peaceful. I'm slowly healing and Yoga Nidra is a huge part of that. Kristyn is pronouncing the word the way you would in Sanskrit instead of English. So that’s not pretentious exaggeration, that’s honoring the beautiful Sanskrit word, which has a much deeper and multilayered meaning than just “sleep” when translated to English. As Swami Satyananda Saraswati had said in his book Yoga Nidra, when he was asked to explain the practice and translate the name into English, he said he refers to stay calling it “yoga nidra,” as there’s no other language in this world that would fully describe what it is. Sanskrit is such a beautiful language and you have to learn it to fully appreciate and understand the beauty in it. But even if you don’t, that’s perfectly ok. Just trust in the magic of yoga nidra and keep practicing these meditations and one day, when the time is right, you’ll find yourself being transformed immensely from the inside out, into a blissful state that only one can dream of.
