yoga used in many connotations, Sanskrit root means to unite or to join, individual soul united to cosmic soul is yoga, samadhi is yoga, prana and apana joined is yoga, karma yoga, jnana yoga, raja yoga, laya yoga, in bible is thy yoke, yoga is not a religion, millions seek truth and self-realization or God as religionists put it, orthodox religions do not satisfy, only old people go to temples and churches out of fear, thinking house of God will give solace, questioning mind is not satisfied, yoga science offers no new religion, yoga offers methods, does not condemn any religion, all great religions come from one source, religions say what to do and not to do, religion not fully satisfying, yoga science teaches you how to be, two methods of learning this philosophy and science, one is monastic way not merely studying books but learning to understand philosophy in practical manner, 5,000 years ago there were no printing presses, during those times students remembered shrutis or words of wisdom, seers found in deep meditation, svetasvatara upanishad, then imparted wisdom to us, academic way, no university teaches yoga darshana fully, book of revelations, Vatican, Judaism, need to understand and experience, seven churches, John, disciples of Christ, apostles, even without a teacher by sincere effort wisdom dawns, Saul became Paul on the way to Damascus, grace dawns, ascending force, descending force, wisdom dawns which leads to other shore of life, grace
