Heard this on the BBC and fell in love with the song. Congrats to Uganda, from an American who actually cares about international affairs and takes pride in education.
Me too was in senior 2.loved it on UBC was in western ug. I am now working after graduation. God is great but I still serch and litsen to it. Have lost some firends i had in 2012
Esther Nabaasa you are something…. That song even 50 years later ,will bring chills down anyone’s spine … What a writter , what a mind , Yoga Yoga Esther !!!
Richard Kaweesa will always remain my legend. He is just a master piece of soul music. his music is just from the soul. Right from his song Africa hakuna matata, miss uganda, udungurudu, and now some people have not checked out another master piece that i recommend for each Ugandan. The song is Tusonge. Which encourages us to invest in our children. This is the music that builds the nation instead of abusing each other in all songs. What do you tink
You're right all Kaweesa's songs a food for the soul and will put the listener into contemplation mode .But sadly not many Ugandans enjoy this kind of music. We enjoy bidigida music .
"Yoga Yoga" - Sounds of Jubulation #UgandaAt50 *#Uganda** makes 50 years of Independence this year- 2012, this is a video montage of the country over the years*
this is a sign to show that we love our nation and also it shows our spirit of nationalism towards our nation it will always be ours starting with forever and ending with never
Congratulations to Uganda and all it's people on this joyous day in celebration of it's 50 th. year of Independence. May you make progress in leaps and bounds and reach great hights !
U ought to give credit where it is deserved. It has not to be R.Kelleys song to be a celebration. Allow creativity to do her job, new styles and ...the song is beautiful. Hey look, if someonf u were expecting a luganda- kiduura song, never. English is wha unites all of us and the beat and lyrics are super. Thank U Nabaasa Esther
wow! where have you guys been all these years while we were suffering with annoying sounds of sizzaman,dj micheal,Bobi wine....and all these losusy noismakers flooding the music scene????? This is a master piece. Thank you very much. GOD Bless Uganda.
There is Uganda in it, "Uganda jubilation","I see Uganda". And the words of the song are connected to Uganda besides Yoga yoga i a luganda word. Uganda is written allover the song
Tell them wama, some people can be so blinded by hate. Maybe english is the problem - but there are already many luganda songs done about jubilee. English unites many people.
Nice song hope its on iTunes !! We'd love to support our artists but most is never on iTunes. Guys style up put your music on iTunes, will cost you nothing yet get a cut ech time it's downloaded.
One man's meat is indeed another man's poison. This song for 50 years celebration, noooo!! Not for me at least. Mbu now every song must have a rap, who told you? It always great hearing Esther's voice though and am sure she didn't write this one. Otherwise, there is nothing that brings out the celebration mood in me.... For notes please refer to 'sign of a victory' or 'I believe' both by Robert Kelly or 'Waka waka' by Shakira - that is how celebrations are handled.
