In this review, we look at Hasegawa's kit of the relatively unknown P1Y Ginga, a Japanese bomber from World War II, and ancestor to the Shinkansen bullet train (yes, really!)
It's a great kit, but I'd recommend replacing the kit decals with aftermarket ones to make it even better.
By the way, this unboxing and review wasn't sponsored by anyone. That means that I paid for all the materials I used, and the opinions I present are my own.

Thanks! I was a bit nervous that I'd overdone the weathering, but I'm glad you like the results!

Yo this is a good model I a got it my self and it good but I was able to put on the decals I think it was the weathering you put that made it a little hard but I like it u got it for 20 dollars I liked it and it’s a good model to start of with but the front gun is super fragile I had to be careful when hanging it up in my room I liked how you showed how to open the bomb bay I had it open in like a dive position above my desk almost if it was bombing me when I am working it’s nice but I can agree that the decals ate stiff and they block most of the detail on the tail.

Thanks for the comment Duck Mug, and glad you liked the video! It's good to hear that your decals were a bit better than mine - it might just have been a problem with my kit to be honest, because I haven't had many decal issues with other kits, even after weathering them... Sitll, it's nice to hear you made (and enjoyed) the model too, and your way of displaying it like it's dive-bombing your desk sounds really awesome!

Why bend decals? Just cut them and apply as two separate pieces!

Hay I recommend that you get a model of the D4Y3 or the ki 100 both are amazing planes I have both models they are simple to make they took me 2 hours including the paint to dry.

With the knowledge you know about Japanese aircraft I'm surprised you weathered the Hinomaru. It was against belief and regulations to let the Hinomaru to be marred. It was the symbol of the emperor who was like a God. IJA and IJN regulations required the markings to be spotless

Well, I do have a tendency to go overboard with the weathering, but you're right, I should have paid more attention to the references regarding the markings on this model.

@@partsofhistory595 it's a good build. Sometimes alot of people over weather and it takes away from the overall quality. Keep up good work and always use references.
