The beginning says: "How can those who love you understand you, if you speak half American (=English). When you are making love under the moon, how can It cross your mind to Say "I love you" (in English instead of Italian)" Basically it's mocking Italians Who want to act like Americans.

Italian and spanish are very alike in some senses, so is french, since we are like, from the same tree branch on the language tree, a common spanish speaker might be able to understand some italian just by words sounding similar and structure, but not much, similar with Brazilian portuguese, “I think I get what you mean because context and wording, but I could be totally wrong”
