The widow of a South African teacher who was killed in a failed rescue attempt in Yemen in 2014, has launched a book about the time she spent with her husband in captivity. Yolande Korkie and husband Pierre were kidnapped in May 2013 by al-Qaeda militants.
Yolande was freed after eight months following an intervention by the South African government, charity organisation Gift of the Givers and the Yemeni government. Pierre died during the botched rescue mission.
