About 10 months ago, my world turned upside-down. Shortly after, I stood on top of a cliff in Sant' Angello, Italy overlooking the beautiful city of Sorrento (photos in first comment). Armed with nothing but a ukulele and a broken heart fresh-out-of-the-oven, while the person I loved more than anything is on other side of the Amalfi coast (and my life), I wrote this song.
There was something about that incredible pain I was in, and that insanely gorgeous view that sparked something I had never felt before. It just made me feel loved, after the five loneliest days of my life.
10 months later and it's been two months since everybody's world turned upside-down. I've been alone at my Bushwick castle for over 7 weeks. And I had never felt less lonely in my entire life.
I'm incredibly lucky and grateful to have the people in my life who help me be better, support me through everything, never judge me, and inspire me as a musician and a person. All these people throughout this year helped me get back on my own two feet and feel whole again.
But there's only one person that can bring yourself to see the beautiful view that's in front of you, to pick yourself up when you're on the floor, convince you to eat when you're too sad to do so, and always be there to buy you ice-cream to make you feel better. So I also want to thank my broken mess of a person back then, who wrote this song and made this decision to push and be better.
When this madness started, I was pretty scared, but part of my dealing with this fear and anxiety was to challenge this situation by collaborating, keep going, and creating a whole new recording, all from our own safe heavens.

I finished and co-wrote this song right before quarantine with the amazing Juana Luna (sang vocals here too), and was was joined by the legendary Benny Oyama (Vocals and guitar) for a trio that's due to perform right when it's healthy again!
