I don’t know her never seen her videos before but damn she’s good. Got the flows and attitude, she’s amazing. Gonna check her out more! Do your thang gurl!
She's one phenomenal dancer! Check out her dance covers of Harry Styles Lights Up, Jonas Brother Sucker and with her brother, Junsun Yoo the choreographer of 1millionstudio. Her dance performances on Hit The Stage, Queendom and Dancing Idol are amazing as well!
In addition to being a top notch dancer Yooa is also a great singer! Check out her performances on Masked Singer, Golden Tambourine, Queendom and of course in Oh My Girl's own songs where she has some very memorable lines.
I dont relli know her but damn she got me. I ve seen other kpop female dancers recently and no one comes close to this lady. All they do is sway their hips and do something sexy in every dance and people think they are doing great dancing. It pains me she is not that popular outside korea cos I would have heard abt her.As a dancer myself her moves are solid. I saw the practice version and u see her footwork better there. Light and great footwork. I have to stan. I want people to open their eyes and know that popularity is not equal to talent. There are exceptions where talent leads to popularity. I hope she grows in it through her amazing skill.
isn't she the same girl who did aegyo in weekly idol and made BI and Jay whipped because of her cuteness? It's really hard to believe..... oh goddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!

I’m glad the company is really promoting yooa. She is such an all rounder and an underrated dancer. She could really be known as one of the best female kpop dancers. I mean, she literally has everything. The visual, angelic vocals, GREAT BODY PROPORTION (girl looks like she’s 170cn but she’s actually 160cm like?? Damn)
@@lolidk2 and Chungha! But it really comes how they promote their artists with Chaeyeon she's in the same company as Yooa so I'm looking forward to their collabs 💕
I know theis off topic but There is a small company group in danger of disbanding named girlkind! They filmed their last comback on an iphone and a member has already left! They really need help! Rochelle In my opinion she’s the dancing queen This generation. She has been dancing for the longest and you can tell that has the training and the knowledge of dancing down to a T and her flow her body her coordination is SPOT ON! Her dances are ALWAYS different from her form to her footwork, there’s never a repetitive dance move in all of her dances (as in she never uses the same footsteps or just STEPS overall from previous dances to her next one) she’s always fresh and she’s always moving on to the next trend and big thing just like her older brother! They’re both amazing dancers and it runs in the bloodline. So I stand my case where I say SHES THE DANCING QUEEN OF THIS GENERATION

Bro... I'm Afican American and ya'll making yourself sound stupid and really need to do research. I'm getting tired of people talking about cultural appropriation as soon something related to black people pops up. Yooa's Urban style, in this video, has been used by many races other than Black people. Latinas (Mexicans) use this style a lot. They probably used this style more than black people. There are dance choreography videos, that you can clearly lookup, where you can see that many other races uses this urban style to. So, stop bringing up cultural appropriation. Matter of fact, if you are so hell-bent on cultural appropriation, you can say Rapping in songs is a form of cultural appropriation because it started by us black people, but you never hear anything about that... Yooa is not being disrespectful AT ALL! All she is doing is dancing to an urban song, while wearing an urban outfit and looking damn good doing to (Sorry, I had to add that in). Ya'll really need to take a massive chill pill. One more thing, if you are also black and have a problem with this, you just want to be the center of attention and cry over something stupid.
THE DUALITY SJSJSJSK, She’s such an underrated dancer like it’s almost frustrating, please Miracles don’t forget to support their comeback #NONSTOP on April 27th ❤️
Because most people, probably including almost everyone in these comments, look at "choreographies" that are either just 90% variants of twerking and stripper moves, or literally takes-zero-practice-easy, and think the dancers are good somehow just because they're putting in a lot of effort.
I wish there was more wide shots than close ups. As much as I love admiring Yooa’s face, I’d rather see her footwork/the dance. Well at least in about a week or so (hopefully) Yooa will post a practice room version like she did with the lights out cover so I’ll definitely look out for that
Blink Once I agree. I am not here to drag Lisa’s name but the camerawork in her dance perf videos is amazing. But we’ll prolly get another version of this performance and I am equally excited for that.
you know what i find funny? people are using her skin color to prove their point besides the accessories they claimed to be as extremely offensive and not take the time to know whether or not she's actually born with it. as a kid, she was already tan. also mind the lighting in this video, they literally filmed this in a parking lot with minimal lighting. plus, check her liar liar performance and you'll know the difference in her skin in comparison to her members. you all better stop stereotyping asians. lmao not all of us have white skin. tf
Justice she's wearing makeup meant for whiter skin during performances. and this was FILMED underground parking lot with minimal lighting hence the shade of her ALREADY tanned skin as an asian became a tad bit darker. That's why I find it funny that people JUMPED at conclusions that she has WHITE skin when she DOES NOT. The point here is SHE IS ALREADY TAN BY ASIAN STANDARDS. If you take away the lighting from performances or show and the idol makeup they put her through, she's TAN. And that's THAT.

I don't understand why all Cultural Appropriate problems arise only when Kpop Female Idol does it , I am not saying it doesn't happens with the Male Artist but definitely not like the Female Artist has to face . Like whatever the Female Idol does it becomes Cultural Appropriate . Like why ?
Let's be real here: a lot of kpop fans are girls/women who are insecure about themselves so they have to drag other women to boost their own self esteem 🤷🏻♀️
You know what's funny I'm looking all through the comments and I don't see a single comment where people are saying she's doing cultural Appropriation. 🤔 I feel like people are just saying it literally I see no hate comments. I'm black and I don't give a dam
I don't know what to comment like she really is the prettiest, charismatic and talented person I know. Her dance is on another level and the choreography looks 1000 times better when she dances it. Yooa and Oh My Girl are UNDERRATED, this is the sad truth😭 man Oh My Girl makes Miracles always so proud❤
It's the combination of sweats, bandanna, and the hair specifically BECAUSE the song is sung by a black artist. She's imitating that style, call it what it is! You can't tell me if it was an Indian song and she wore traditional Indian garment it wouldn't be the same? The reason ppl can pretend this is ambiguous is because culture vultures are the norm for black culture Edit: I made this comment two years ago. The replies I got to it to this day are not reflective of what I was actually trying to say. The Indian comparison I made was not to belittle Indian cases of cultural appropriation. I only made that example because I felt Indian culture is very distinct from other cultures so I feel nobody would deny the fact that it was Indian. That is all I said. My point was made because people were saying this isn't a Black style and blatantly denying that this is a black style in the first place. This logic is used so that others can feel comfortable appropriating and it is part of the issue because it blatantly gaslights black people who feel offended by this behavior by saying they are making it up when they aren't. And trying to say that CA against Black people isn't offensive by denying that their culture belongs to them and saying it should be for everyone is wrong, so I addressed how it made me feel. I never implied that Indians don't suffer from cultural appropriation. my words were misconstrued by replies (specifically @Tanisha Gupta). They at first said Indians would be happy if people used their culture so I responded based off of their point saying if Indians don't feel threatened by this then it is because it doesn't affect them as much as Black people. I admit this point in particular wasn't entirely correct because it's not my place to say it doesn't affect Indians, however, as I said my point was heavily misconstrued because I only said that because they were the first person to imply that Indians aren't impacted as much by this behavior and in my mind I felt even if so it doesn't justify silencing black people who feel upset. But then they twisted my words and made it seem like I was saying appropriation against Indians doesn't matter and at that point I gave up because I felt it got too off topic. Let me be frank, mistreating and racist remarks against Indian people are wrong and appropriation of Indian culture can harm Indian people. Yet, there are differences between this and appropriation against black people; both deserve attention, but these differences are why saying things like "if we can use black culture, than people can't do yoga" are misinformed because of the differences in the histories of these two things. While the example can cause harm, it doesn't cause harm in the exact same way as for Black people. The issue is rooted in the history of America. Some of their more extreme logic about Indian appropriation that was used to frame my arguments as absurd were also misinformed. World trade and relations ( such as exchanging information, spices, etc. between countries/world superpowers) allowed for global improvements to be made between countries. These exchanges are irrelevant to modern discussions of cultural appropriation and minimize the issue to simply being about giving credit instead of focusing on the real issue about how CA causes harm to the community being appropriated. I did feel that replier had something against black culture or people specifically because of the way they invalidated the anger of black people over this issue by using false logic and saying they had no right to feel upset. It wasn't that I went straight to pulling the "race card", I was frankly overwhelmed by how many of their statements I found were rooted in logic that is used to perpetuate ignorance and discredit the struggle of black people.
To claim her outfit isn't offensive is one thing but to say it doesn't imitate any black culture references is beyond ignorant. It's street fashion that is considered ratchet when we wear it!
@@chu1880 Ew, did you actually just use other POC against me? Black people are not a monolith, we all have different views, and honestly it's not your place to decide whether or not I should be offended
@@chu1880 and I literally say why I am pissed, people want to pretend that the popularity of streetwear isn't black culture, feign ignorance, and the fact that it's appropriation which is problematic because when we wear it it's ghetto, but it's a cute style for her. I don't hate YooA but come on this was appropriation! If y'all took a second and stopped perceiving it as backlash and let us speak on how to correct it, or make efforts to be respectful we wouldn't have issues!!! Honestly and shut up, you have no say in whether or not it's offensive if ur not a black, don't even "vouch for other POC" just listen! Be quiet. What are you even defending since it's not ur place
@@dreamyanon5151 I think you are being too oversensitive here. And if it would have been Indian song and if she would have worn an Indian traditional outfit then Indians would have felt really happy not like you people always shouting cultural appropriation. If that is the case then I think everybody should stop using the pajama because that's an indic thing. When people are going to coachella then they should not use Bindi as asthetics, stop using zero that was invented by an Indian Saint, stop using shampoos, stop playing Ludo and Snakes and Ladders and chess, stop using rulers, stop doing yoga, stop using buttons and many more cause that's cultural appropriation because people use it in their daily life and do not even give credit to Indians for that. We are living in 21st century, we cannot be like oh don't use this or don't use that as this belongs to our culture. This makes our thinking more rigid and how will be mingle with other people and their cultures if we will have so rigid thinking. And please come out of your delusional world, I am native Indian and I have naturally curly hairs so what is that cultural appropriation for you. Not only black people have curly hair most of the South Asian also do have curly hairs and how is being black a culture it's a colour. Many South Asians are black but they follow a different culture they follow indic culture and that is not similar to ur culture so what will you not include them in that group and you will sideline them. So you are the one differentiating and discriminating. The true meaning of cultural appropriation is when somebody is downgrading or discrediting your culture. For example when blackpink used Ganesh ji (sacred Hindu God) as a background aesthetic that was cultural appropriation and a black artist I forgot her name used the picture of Sacred Hindu God Shiv on her bodycon dress and when we called her out for cultural appropriation, we were getting attacked and were called racist I mean wtf. I have never seen Indians going and commenting that don't wear our traditional dresses or don't wear our traditional headpieces. We are proud that people are recognising our culture so stop being oversensitive and trashy. It was just dance performance by her and nowhere she discredited your culture or maybe you want her to write in the starting thank you black people for this dress and dance style and then start the dance, it's highly stupid. And if she is racist because she curled her hairs then blacks should never straighten their hairs because that's cultural appropriation for Asians and all the companies who make curler should be banned.
not y'all making problems about her outfit smh. i'm black and personally, this did not offend me at all. honestly, she killed it and she looks gorgeous. i'm just gonna say this because some of these comments and replies are starting to annoy me: first of all, she is NOT wearing a wig, that is her natural hair. she just curled it. not to mention, we don't own curly hair. second, her skin is NATURALLY tanned, and there are actually quite a lot of other idols that also have naturally tanned skin (lucas and haechan - nct, yuri and sooyoung - snsd, tzuyu - twice, and more), they're just whitewashed a lot. on top of that, do y’all not see how dim the lighting is in this video? of course it’s gonna affect how her skin looks and make her look darker than usual. it’s a natural thing, it’s not about race. third, we DO NOT own hoop earrings and bandanas. in fact, bandanas originated in india, and hoop earrings were worn by ancient roman, greek, egyptian, and many other cultures for thousands of years. so stop this madness of saying she's "tryna be black". at this point, it's like y'all just wanna gatekeep and accuse everyone of "cultural appropriation". it gets thrown around to so many idols for so many minor and petty things to the point where i don't even know the true meaning of it anymore. fourth and finally, we DO NOT own sports bras and sweatpants either, and i guarantee you that she was not wearing them to look "black". it's a common outfit for female hip hop dancers no matter what race they are. she had pretty much the same look when she covered "kick it" by nct 127, and no one complained. not to mention, if you watch 1 million dance studio (a popular dance school in south korea)'s dance videos, you will see that a lot of the female dancers dress like that. i'm aware that omg have done a lot problematic things, but this ain't one of them. the fact that y'all are saying that she's trying to "look black" or "dress black" really says a lot. as if all black women dress like that. smh. let the girl wear what she wants while doing what she enjoys. grow up and stop complaining over petty crap like this when there is ACTUAL racism happening in the world right now. there are literally people getting killed for just being their race, but we are arguing about THIS? ridiculous. if you don't like it, that's cool. just don't look. simple.
the problem is her using a bandana + curling her hair + dressing like “black style”. it’s not only the clothes, it’s the combination. sweats is not a part of the culture, however it’s a part of the stereotype and was popularized by the black people. she shouldn’t have permed her hair if she wouldn’t perm it for the cover of a italian or russian song, for example 🤷🏽♀️
@@kamillyrabelo she literally wore the same outfit including curly hair for the Kick it cover, a kpop song by Korean artists. That’s the whole point, you’re here with preconceptions over YooA when she wears urban style many times in her daily life, she used to dance hip hop with her brother from 1 million studio years ago
I mean every idol practices their own stuff anyways, it's just that she happens to be good enough and finally has the support to film and release them now.
It's better to watch the dance practice, as then you can actually see the door foot work. Like bro this ain't a music video stop getting so close and back up.

Right, honestly she look proud wearing while busting out the dance, how exactly is it offending? Some ppl are out of their minds. Also on a side note, she had the same look while covering to NCT 127 Kick it, and no one complained
@@hdcsharp300 yes exactly, i am sure the ones that started the matter in the first place are not Africans , this is the same thing from the beginning of kpop , i've been a fan from 2008 and everytime the antis are the ones who comment that the artist has being rude to a specific culture. Yall will come for anyone yall are lucky she AINT wearing braids tf you come for everyone as a black person this is going over the edge like wtf u tryna say curly hair and bandana belongs to black culture now
Guys yall took the word appropriation and ran with it. While yes this look is most defiantly inspired by black culture, YooA never claimed to create this look or call it by a different name. Remember even Asians can have tan skin and curly hair, those are genetics not culture.
But we do... if a football team has a uniform can another team come out in the exact uniform... why are phrases trademarked... why are theories named after the scientist who developed them.

The Comback Song (NONSTOP) and top of that ... so many schedules interview, program, etc ... A GENIUS Hardworking Girl everybody ..
There’s no important history behind anything she wore in this video therefore it isn’t cultural appropriation. It’s literally just clothing and a hairstyle.
Hip hop. Red bandannas. 80s black fashion but she’s not stealing from anything. Okay. If they let black people into their culture and music I wouldn’t mind but they don’t.
Red bandanas became synonymous with black peoples and black culture when the bloods came to prominence in LA during the 80s. Fueled by the hiphop/rap boom. All the background dancers and dressed as BBoys. Which is also a BLACK statement in the 80s. Young people go out their way to be ignorant for people that wouldn’t even consider them for idol training🥴🥴🥴
