I enjoy this kind of song by Yook, really. This song is unique to him in style, it reflects his unpredictable, creative, and free-spirited personality, it reminds me of Paradise. It has so many unpredictable and awkward lyrics that reminded me of an ancient poem and abstract arts. I wonder if he had a huge hand in giving the theme and lyrics of his song. (I'm surprised that the lyrics were not made by him) That's why i think there is a somewhat deeper message in this song. I think it reflects the dreams of an idol; to be loved by everyone. And we need a 'role model' (a better half) to be successful, you know like groups need solid friendship like BtoB to endure idol life. Yook loves 'dad jokes' and 'double meanings'. So in this song, i think Chicken doubles as a food and as an analogy of how idols wanted to be loved. But what i love is that Yook's songs always have a certain woman named 'Joy' smell all over it. The lyrics are also peculiar, especially all of them are awkward and abstract : 1. Flowers withered but popular as well; Flowers often used as a symbol of beauty in girl group reality shows and obviously feminine. Hmm, Red Velvet is at their 6th year. It's only one year to the 7th year curse. The generations are changing. JYP already have ITZY, CUBE had G-IDLE, and SM will probably release another girl group. 2. Suddenly from the Chicken that made me think without eating after 'Role Model' lyrics. Hmm. I wonder who's the female idol called 'chick' in SM? Who did Yook said in WGM that she was 'beyond imagination'? 3. I wanna be a chicken. Now this is a creative one. Yook obviously made a chicken as a subject and object of the song at the same time. Now guess who loved Chicken and close to Yook and BtoB? 4. Chicken is so great that you can eat as much as you like, What you learned from it is how you live together; Live together as in 'marriage'? WGM had so many Joy and Yook scenes eating chickens together. This is in my opinion, the strongest message in the song. It is very awkward for a lyric and unexpected. How did eating Chickens equate with learning to live together? If you read literature, like reading a digress in literature. It could vary, but digresses actually used to give backgrounds or deeper meanings in a song/literature. This lyrics could give an insight on who's the 'chicken' in the lyrics. It screamed 'Joy' all over it. 5. Live Together, a Role Model, my Future is now set; Well, we know all what this means. i wish i can analyze it more. Since i don't know Korean, i might make mistake and some might be off target. That aside, Yook is a freaking genius. This song is a masterpiece and the true essence of art; Free and Creative. Seriously, how did BtoB are not known much internationally? All of them are talented as heck, even more so than the so-called 'Big 3'.
I might find you overthink in some 😉, but also find the truth in others. So yeah, wonderful interpretation! 😆 and super agree on Sungjae being creative and all.... gotta love him! 💙
Oh, one more thing. For your no. 2, there is a mistake in the interpretation there. The actual lyrics should be "I'm hungry, and eating without thinking the chicken I ordered suddenly".

Chickens are actually amazing birds, so I can understand why Sungjae wants to be a chicken (albeit the fried or roasted kind XD). Such a fun song! The analogy is very clever
The song is serious but I just remembered how naughty Sungjae is. He is also a creative and genius person especially in music. That’s why it’s much more fun to interpret songs since we all know that songs were made to express something. And I choose to interconnect his songs to his previous heartache with Joy. Chicken and Flowers represent something and I hope that my speculation is true.
