Beat it with about 3 bees from the total 48. Knowing what the boss is going to do ahead of time is a huge help, as well as foreseeing ahead in the level. This was a big help, thanks!
I really don't like this level. I completed the whole game, and I still can't get further than 47%... The whole game it's so nice and scaleable, this sucks.
@@RobMost Same here. I had 44 bees, but most of them were negated when I discovered there were no tonics allowed in the Lair. Hence, the extended hover jump I've been using for nearly the entire game is gone, and i have to re-learn how to play the game for its hardest level. No thanks. I'll take my 33% run through the Lair, and this RU-vid perusal of what would have happened from there.
@@RobMost my thoughts exactly. At the end of January, Playtonic said somewhere on their twitter, like, 'Dr. Puzz is making new checkpoints', hopefully for the last level, cos the rest of the game is fine as it is.

Timing is key, and Patience is demanded for this. If things get off-center in the timing then you may take more hits then you would with things in-sync. Many of the parts require you to just stand there and go at the right moment.
28:08 there's a much simpler way. Rather than stand in the center, hug the wall to the right. CapitalB will groundslam the place but he will not hit you, then you only need to jump at him to get the Hive Mind
I think people are reading this wrong, I mean I lost all hits and then lost Laylee at the end but then beat it with just yooka left and with 4 seconds on the clock
You can actually make it to the top by bouncing on the enemies and spinning in the air for max hang time.You will slowly ascend to the top while ignoring the platforms.
Tip #1 2:46 might not be as great as you think because there is no dedicated restart button. That means going through high loading times so keep that in mind.
Now there are checkpoints if you reach each staged boss fight. So getting there with a good amount of bees and trying from those points is now an option.
