The Awakening is one of the biggest real Ibiza Sunset Classics from 1998.
It was one the second most sold Single of York, that peaked in the UK Sales Charts at 11 in 1998. It was the most sold single in the UK that didn't reach the Top 10! Now York himself reworked his classic and gave it a fresh 2013 sound.

GalaxyTraveler & mtdii...our admin said it already, i needed to make a new mix simply to be able to play it in a "non classic set" in the clubs. I like the mix very much, the vocals are by the way from 2002 - not new. We already used them in the "Offshore" Remixes from 10 years ago;-) Thanks for supporting me & all the best to you guys ! Y

This is absolutely stunning piece of art, both music and video. It contains everything what I love in electronic music: classic timeless tune, angelic vocal, ambient elements and the video fits perfect. Very uplifting :)

I agree with mtldiii, no need at all for this remake. It sounds "ok", but it's clearly more "commercial" orientated now. The original one from the 90s without vocals will stay in my heart forever!

what I hate about electronic music are all these useless remixes you always find everywhere. Like this! nearly impossible to find the classic Radio Edit anymore. :(
