Yoseka Visits Philly Pen Show 2024 - Guess which pen Daisy got!?!

Hi Everyone, it’s May!
Daisy, Neil, Alex and I took a day trip to the Philly Pen Show on Sunday, January 14th! It was Neil and my second pen show after the SF Pen Show, and Daisy and Alex’s first pen show! We saw so many wonderful pens, new and vintage, caught up with some old friends, and made new ones! We ended the day with some delicious Philly cheesesteak and dropped by the super cool Omoi Zakka Shop, a fellow Traveler’s partner shop :) We had so much fun and I hope you enjoy watching! I’m loving the vlog type videos y’all are making, it really adds another layer of dimension to the brand as a whole, for me; definitely a bigger fan than I was before lol!

I have that same pen 03:23 (the "Smoltem"?). I bought the secondary section to install a #8 Bock 18k nib. One cool thing about the Smoltom is it's perfect for ink samples --you can unscrew the section, set the pen upright on your desk and if you're careful you can just pour a sample directly into the pen body. No syringe or dropper needed. A perfect pour means you don't even need a napkin to clean up. Then just sit back and wait for the high-fives to start rolling in 😏🙌

Love this.!! Thank you for sharing.!! I wanted to go too, it’s only 3 1/2 hours away, however again this year, a snow storm was forecasted for here at home and at 65 years young, I do not like driving in the snowstorms any more. Lol. Daisy, enjoy your new pen, let us know how you like it.!!

You guys need to get the Stalogy horizontal notebooks. I think they would be great for working with the horizontal format underneath one's keypad or notebook pc on the desk. My first pen show was in Nov 2022 at Columbus, OH. It did not work out for me to go this past year. Definitely want to attend more.

Philly is so fun! I visit a friend there pretty often. I love Omoi Zakka! I went there the last time I was in Philly. I've never been to the Philly Pen Show, though - it was super fun to see your visit on video. I also enjoyed the SF Pen Show video you did in August. When I lived in Seattle, that was "my" pen show, so it was a nice little walk down memory lane. :)

Excellent choice, Daisy! I have the exact same pen - Ultem (bought when Ian first started making them) and a monoc nib (bought this past fall as a birthday present to myself)! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do ❤❤❤. The Baltimore pen show is fun and less crazy than the Washington, DC pen show. I’m planning to go to the Baltimore show and I hope to see you there!!

Pen show babies~ I went to my first pen show too (last year at SF and at TIPS) 😮oooh could this mean we’ll be seeing more small makers at Yoseka Stationery 👀 maybe some more shop exclusive/collaboration inks, pens, and paper stationery?

I'd love to see some more shop collaborations with pen makers. Bungubox went huge with the FUJIYAMA BLUE Pilot Custom 823... I'll keep dreaming of a YOSEKA GREEN Custom 823 until it becomes a reality 😴💤🖋

the Baltimore Pen show is great but last year the hotel legitimately ran out of parking, so we couldn't go. You may have to park down the highway and Uber over :-/

For Daisy's Schon, I would compliment it with Ferris Wheel Press Central Park Green to complement the yellow body, and go with the Liberty Bell theme, since it was bought in Philadelphia.

I'm so sorry I missed you guys but I was only there Friday and Saturday. Ahh you got to see the delights of Schon DSGN! I tried a monoc and I will be saving up for one now. Ian's pocket 6 is my fave! And you got a monoc too! ooooo lucky girl! It's pronounced Redding. You have to hit the market on a weekday or its crazy. I had no idea Omoi existed and wow cuteness!

At Scriptus 2023 here in Toronto, Pilot also showed up with a booth, despite some exhibitors in the past claiming it would not happen. Went for the draw, and got a spiffy Pilot branded hoodie. Guess what I am wearing now, *wink.
