My wife made the map using final cut pro. A lot of people have asked so maybe I can convince her to make a video showing exactly how she created it in the future.
Glad you enjoyed the blog post and video, excited to hear how your trip goes in January! The high the first day was 27 degrees Fahrenheit with a low of 16 degrees Fahrenheit. We got lucky the storm settled down by the time we made camp and the wind also died out at night for us.
Badger pass was pretty crowded at the parking lot. It was raining in the valley so everyone and their kids was trying to get to badger pass to "play" in the snow. They have special parking area for overnight backpacking trips once you get your permits so parking wasn't an issue. The biggest issue was dodging the cars that were not meant for driving in the snow. Saw a couple Teslas that were spun out on the drive up. It was snowing pretty hard on our drive up though.
Hello! Yeah, it's pretty easy with Final Cut Pro. I used the keyframe feature to move the dot. I might be able to make a quick tutorial video of you are interested 😁
