A Quick "DAY TRIP" Yosemite National Park Hiking,
after RV Camping "FREE" in the Yosemite National Forest for the last 3
weeks. No Reservations Required before 5am or after 4pm.
I was dispersed camping in the Yosemite National "Forest" for FREE, just outside Yosemite National "Park", (North Entrance) off of Hwy 120, in Groveland Ca.
I entered the Park for the first time in a long time. I purchased an American the Beautiful Annual Pass. I will be going regularly to get completely familiar with all of the hiking and destinations in the valley. I also purchased a FREE Campfire Permit. Knowing that soon it will be Forest Fire Season and campfires will NOT be allowed, I will be taking complete advantage of this privilege. I call it "Campfire Therapy" and camping isn't the same without one. I tend to go to areas and places that don't have restrictions like Campgrounds or different Counties, etc.

Yosemite National Park now requires reservations on certain days. This is because of it being so busy at the entrances. The reservations, when required, are between 5am and 4pm. The entrance gates are open 24 Hours unless of Emergency. I can enter the park before or after the reservation times because I have an annual pass. With it being so hard to get Yosemite Valley camping reservations, I will have complete flexibility.
