I just visited Zion for the first time and loved it. The Watchman campground is super nice (though no showers, if that's a concern). I also love Olympic in Washington - the coastline, rainforest, and mountains all so close together. I live in Seattle and try to get out there a few times a year. Camping is the best!
I live in Australia, and we have so many beautiful National Parks. My family has been camping at the same spot for almost 20 years, now we get to take our son along to enjoy it. We go where there's no flushing toilets... Such a beautiful video, I'd love to check out Yosemite one day.
I have stayed near the park when my mom and us siblings drove to talkeetna Alaska.start point was cheboygan mi. We camped every night. So it was one week of driving. On the way there we drove straight over to Washington then went north. On the way back we entered I through Montana I believe. I highly recommend talkeetna Alaska as a trip. It's is so beautiful especially when you can see all of Denali on a clear day. Safe travels. By the way I love your videos. Thankyou
Great video! This made me miss Yosemite even more. It is definitely my (& my husband's) most favorite national park! We used to go camping there every year. We got engaged at the Mirror Lake. 😊 Now with the second baby on the way, we probably won't be camping for at least another year.
I love this. I think Yosemite is my favorite National Park, but someday you should visit Crater Lake in Oregon. It is exquisite. Not so much to "do" just the clearest blue and such peace and quiet.
my favorite has to be Zion, it doesn't get as much exposure as Yosemite of course but I kind of like that because the trails are less crowded and I think you see less trash, it's a super gorgeous area and it's a lot like Yosemite but there's red rock and canyons galore, definitely give it a scope if you get the chance
Nice video. Good info. The best Yosemite trip EVER is to pack horse it to Royal Arch Lake. AWESOME! Horses, guides and pack mules available at the only remaining stable in the valley(I believe).
I've lived in California all my life (except for two years spent in Colorado a year ago) and have never been to Yosemite! My bf and I just got back from Zion and it was absolutely stunning! They have a shuttle system there too but we found it to be much more of a hassle and super crowded where we were often just left standing with the entire bus full! We explored a bit of the main Zion Canyon but much preferred the less crowded Kolab Canyon in the Northern part of the park. Beautiful red rock scenery. We broke up the drive by staying in Vegas but you could easily do it all in one day.
I love your travel videos! My friend and I just went on a week long trip to Death Valley & Joshua Tree. We're talking about visiting Yosemite next so I appreciate you sharing all of this info about it! :)
Yosemite seems wonderful. It is a very different experience from what I consider camping, though! It just seems like it can be too packed full of people. When I camp, I like to get away from the bustle of our civilization! If you travel East in the future, I recommend camping at Crawford Notch in New Hampshire!
You should do a camping essentials video! I have always wanted to go camping but I am always scared I won't pack the right things since I've never gone camping before. I think that's one of the main reasons I haven't taken the leap. I have no gear and wouldn't know what to buy :( if you have any resources I could check out, please send them my way!!
Yes all the camping tips! I'd love just a general camping tips video too maybe in the future! Lol I just watched this documentary on Netflix called Valley Uprising. It's about rock climbing in Yosemite through the years and how it's changed over time. It was super interesting. I feel like you might like it :)
Love this video thanks for the information! I hope to one day make it to that part of the world. I live in the desert so it looks so inviting to go there during this season. Did you guys get any rain while camping or was it just when you got there? I guess my concern will be how humid it was and also how cold during this time of the year. The temperatures here now are like freaking hell, we just camped out at the GIla Nationa Park in New Mexico and it was hot and really dry. No bears there only rattle snakes ;) LiGhT & LOvE
Wow, I've never seen anything like Yosemite!! It looks so beautiful. My favorite national park is Olympic national park in Washington! Have you been there? I think you and nick should take the Travco there when it's finished :)
