We explore the famous and picturesque Yosemite National Park in California. It is a cold winter day and the main attraction in February is the annual natural phenomena that takes place called Firefalls. Firefalls happens when Horse Tail falls (thin stream of water) located on the top of El Capitan glows bright red for a few seconds during sunset giving the illusion of lava flowing down. It is by far the most photographed natual phenomena and leaves you in pure bliss. Enjoy our walk through Yosemite with our doggo Everest!
Our tips to experience firefalls:
Drive past the designated parking lots (past the walking path), and park across El Captain (as seen in the video). Get here super early because parking will get full. Take warm layers, chairs and start walking backwards towards a pull out where disability parking is allowed. This is one of the best places to setup your camera and get photos for the viewing. The location you parked is also the best for exiting the park once the viewing is over as there will be lots of traffic buildup.
