Wow amazing!!! I just went there but I didn't dare to fly my drone in the National Park. I flew it in Oakhurst thought a little outside the park. However, you can't see anything there from the incredible mountains of Yosemite. Greetings to all Americans from the island of Crete in Greece.
Hi buddy, thanks for your kind words. I have seen many Americans flying drone in the National Parks, especially in Zion, Death Valley and Grand Canyon.
I just went to Yosemite in January 2020, flew my mom out there for her 70th birthday. We also went to Alcatraz, Muir woods and Lake Tahoe. Can't wait to get back to the valley to hike Half Dome, hoping next Summer or Autumn.
The iphone 8 looks incredible! Really smooth shots as well! We love Yosemite, not game enough to fly my drone there - such a stickler for the rules - but man it would be awesome - makes the videos so dynamic!
I really enjoyed your video! I would love to use part of the video with your permission and share it on my facebook page, While also crediting you! Please let me know what you think, much appreciated
Awesome shots. Glad you had the balls to get these even though it's illegal. Having been there myself recently, I now understand how easy it would have been to get shots like this had I brought my drones. After realizing that there is no patrol or rangers in most areas of the park, shots like this may have been worth it. I'm curious if you have been contacted after uploading them to youtube though. Superb footage!
so how did you get away with fling in a national park or you just didn't ask? Just curious i have heard of them searching youtube for videos of National Parks from drones and prosecuting people.
Beautiful video. But to be blunt, flying a drone in the park is super illegal. Also, getting that close to the Mule deer is also super illegal, not to mention dangerous. If possible, you have to maintain a distance of 50 yards between you and any large wildlife at all times. The deer are also the most dangerous animals in the valley. They have killed and injured more humans than any other animal in the park (even more than bears, mountain lions, and lynx), in the 100+ years since settlers have been there. Of course, their numbers are so high because everyone thinks deer are sweet and kind, so they try and pet them.
illegal and not cool. you are encouraging others to do the same. You don't care about the hikers in the area and their peace and quiet. It's getting harder to get away from people and noise. Thanks for nothing.
Sin D hey, life long cali resident here, you’re a dickhead. You can only hear my drone from about 50 feet away and I have zero interest in going near you, you’re not that interesting. Go away.
