Yes, I am sad to see Yoshi go. He did a fabulous job of playing Phillip the disciple. Phillip seemed the most mature of all the others. I will miss you Yoshi, but I do wish you all the best in your next endeavor. Thank you for giving us a great performance of Phillip. pray you stay close to Him in all you do. God bless 😊

I loved the way this character mentored Matthew and was so down to earth and practical. His acting did not seem like acting!

Yoshi was so natural being Phillip. His clarity when he spoke was great. And when he played his foot being seriously injured, I felt his pain. He will be missed tremendously.

I love Yoshi's role in the Chosen, I also think his acting is great, but as we all know this happens all the time. I will just accept it as keep on watching it because this is an incredible movie. I just watch it over and over again. I wish Yoshi luck and hope he continues his acting, he is a very good actor, I will miss his character in the movie.😇

Aw, that's too bad. I really like his soft, friendly, and gentle features, they worked really well for the part the way they wrote it. Granted, I haven't seen the new actor, he may be terrific. I'm just saying that I'm sorry it didn't work out for Yoshi to stay. I like him, and I hope everything gets better for him.

So very saddened at this loss of Yoshi from The Chosen. Yes, his personality was such a wonderful asset. That is not to take away from any of the other wonderful characters parts in this show, just saying that everyone was part of OUR FAMILY when we watch this show! I believe I am speaking for most what others are saying. We connect with each person and their part. Sounds nuts, however, this show is powerful, that is why we are all PART of it! Yoshi, best to you! You brought us a glimpse of what Philip really could have been like and we love you for it.

Yoshi gave the apostle Phillip substance and character I never got in reading the scriptures as do all the actors in the series The Chosen, Phillip was my favorite for his maturity and how he didn’t back down from bullies and helped Matthew. He did a great job and I will miss his talent!

It is sad to lose Yoshi as Philip but we have to keep in mind none of them are the "real" person so life does sometimes create change that no one expects. I wish Yoshi all the best and I will miss him. He did an amazing job.

What do I think? Well, Yoshi's interpretation of his character, Philip, was exceptional. He is one of my absolute favorites in the cast. His shoes will be difficult to fill. My hope is that his departure will bring him substantial rewards in his future endeavors, and that his replacement will become as accepted as the current big James is. I wish him all the best and pray God will bless him and keep him close. He will be sorely missed.

Yoshi played one of my favorite characters. So talented. I did get him mixed up with the Jesus character early on. They looked similar to me. But all the best to him.

I think it’s really sad that Yoshi will not be on the chosen. He was my favorite for sure. But I really can’t believe that the chosen hasn’t said anything about it yet. It’s wrong of them to not be up front about this, especially since Yoshi was so well loved. I am looking forward to see what Yoshi is up to next.

I wonder why an actor would even start in a series that they know is going to span several seasons and that their character would always be in, if they weren't commited to stay to the end... its one thing if something happens that they cant avoid but his text didnt indicate anything like that.

Yoshi did a great job as Philip on The Chosen, it is actually surprising. He will be missed. And I don't go out of my way to say things like that unless I really mean it.

Very sad for my personal reasons- I LOVED this actor….he was such a powerful force when on the camera. Definitely My loss and Chosen fans loss…sorry to lose him. But THANKS AND BLESSINGS going out to Yoshi for the times and memories we do have from season 2 and 3.

Just finished watching Dallas from the chosen live. He said Yoshi was let go. He did not give an explanation as to why. I was very disappointed to hear this of course but I really wanted to hear an explanation.

So sad. He played Philip so wonderfully.

Maybe they were trying to negotiate with the actor - and convince him to come back. It's not going to be the same without Yoshi and that makes me sad. I don't know if I can handle season 4 knowing this...I want to keep watching, but this is hard. I'd feel the same way about any of the actors at this point. Yeah, he's probably needing a bigger paycheck to address his health issues. Such a spiritual attack. No wonder Dallas was asking for prayers weeks ago. I could tell he had a heavy heart...

It might be because The Chosen is openly supporting the same group that tanked Bud Light and Target. Pride flags have shown up on the set of Season 4. Sad, but true.

I could really only say “mucho dittos”(I know that’s badly fractured Spanish.Sorry 🙄)to what has already been commented on. It is a little bit sad, and we hope this wasn’t something negative in the intense relationships these actors and actresses must have on and off screen, but I agree with another commenter that we,the fans, don’t have to know “the why and wherefore” of everyone’s life. If it was something negative, as in the cliche reply is known as “artistic differences “ I do also agree with other comments that say that we should just respect Yoshi’s reason(s) for leaving The Chosen and leave it that. Anything else is sort of like gossip fodder in my opinion.

You know, I never thought I would get hooked on a Livestream show. But I must say I love The Chosen. I have some theological issues with it but I watch for the interactions between the characters and the overall themes. Yoshi’s portrayal of Philip’s character was great. I loved his interactions with Nathaniel and Matthew. I wish him well.

It is sad to say goodbye to the actors we have grown used to, but the message of Jesus Christ is what is important here. While paraphrased and using license, the show was instrumental in sending me back to scripture, and reaffirming my life and complete surrender to Jesus.

Whatever is hidden in the dark will come out in the light . Truly it’s not for us to pry and wonder. If we are truly respect and wish him Yoshi well. I’m sure we all do. He said professional and personal reasons.

Actors come and go on shows. I won't even speculate as to why Yoshi left. I only hope it wasn't due to health reasons. I wish him well. He was definitely an enjoyable character and I'll miss him. I don't get wrapped up in the politics of a show. I either like it or don't like it. One thing is certain. I will miss Yoshi.

I love what Yoshi brought to the character and I will miss him. I hope the new actor will bring the same amount of charm in playing Philip.

I suspected that he was not necessarily on the same page as the rest of the cast in his personal life. I say that because I heard him interviewed several times, and I think he was searching for a relationship with the Lord. I think he found what he needed and that, but he must move on because he is mentioning that in his long statement as well. God wants him to get going on their relationship and this was a steppingstone. That’s what I think anyway thank you.

The ability to speak of your faith and spend your life to it with gods blessing is a lot like the guy in the streets what i see is the guy in a marketplace. You brother are in a different marketplace speaking on your faith and spreading the word. Giving testimony. I agree with what you said and there was grace in words. Keep it up brother.

Yoshi was my favorite disciple. Easy going and without attitude.

I recall in an interview Yoshi did several months ago when he stated that he and Dallas didn’t always agree, but he was the actor and Dallas is the Director. So I’m inclined to believe the reason he left was more professional than personal. Dallas’s silence speaks volumes to me. Just saying🤔 Yoshi,(Philip) was definitely one of my favorite Chosen actors.
