Composed by Koji Kondo. Recreated by me. This is a commission from ‪@Eden-0005‬ and is for this song only. It was made possible by ripping the music from the ROM in MIDI format using VGMTrans and rebuilding the soundtrack from the ground up using a digital version of the original sound hardware that was used to compose the game, applying some modern mixing techniques along the way to lift the veil of 16bit compression and create an updated listening experience. I've been eagerly awaiting this since I went to bed during the livestream! I was the one bigging you up because this is my childhood game! You definitely have a talent for capturing the original sounds while also making it crisp and clear to hear. Something I have never seen in other restoration artists. That's why I always assumed you had the original composition/ game files, or you were in contact with the original artist of the track. Please keep making these restorations, they are unlike any other.

I mean just in the staring and ending bongos alone, which is something no one will really notice at a glance, you mastered it. I think I mentioned that in the livestream but I was pretty tired tbh. Just in awe of your work always!

May I ask how this differs from the previous uploads?

I believe it's the strings(?) that play with the flute(the one that was changed previously. The previous re-upload had louder strings(s) than this one...which sounds better now! Start at 0:35 to check.

Actually, the intro flutes were different and the chimes before the repeat at 0:57 were out of tune. But both are fixed now

I still hold that the 8th note (the grace note, A# I think you said it was) is missing or silent in the SNES original :D Good restoration otherwise though!

Glad you like it! It's a very low velocity note in the original. Hard to hear, but there. I might just need to adjust the velocity scaling
