Composed by Koji Kondo. Recreated by me. This was made possible by ripping the music from the ROM in MIDI format using VGMTrans and rebuilding the soundtrack from the ground up using a digital version of the original sound hardware that was used to compose the game, applying some modern mixing techniques along the way to lift the veil of 16bit compression and create an updated listening experience. The summer of '96 this , super Mario Kart , Mario RPG, and DKC2 were on a consistent switchback rotation . Man the music in these games were other worldly magical.

this is really good! Man, Yoshi's Island was such a fully-fleshed out adventure. I got so many hours off the gameboy advance port. I look forward to if you cover the Castle theme. I hold that one up along with Super Mario World's castles

Your restoration is as always spot on! By the way, Yoshi's Island was the first game that Nintendo actually cared about graphics and art style in it's own games. It still holds up really well.

I'd pay 10 000 dollars (if I had them) for Nintendo to remake the first Yoshi's Island for the Switch with this quality of music and beautiful, hand drawn art, just like they remade TTYD and Mario vs. Donkey Kong (and I don't want Yoshi's New Island or something, give me the original Yoshi's Island please!)
