Great play from both. It’s rare you get two players who’ve played Magic 25+ years anymore, but when you do the dexterity and speed with which they play is a joy to watch.

First time someone has taken the draw in limited since Pro Tour M14 draft?

maybe someone did in guilds of ravnica because of the jump-start mechanic but i don't know

@@DeWillpower a fellow limited grinder friend of mine reminded me about Ravnica allegiance and the Azorious defender deck so that might be the only other time in recent memory, but I don’t think that happened at the actual pro tour on camera.

All games decided by screw/flood? It's long overdue to fix your game WOTC. At the moment it's a game of luck with elements of skill, but it could be so much more...

It’s draft and 60 card decks. What do you expect?

I expect them to reduce randomness, or stop calling it an esport. They could at least experiment with rules that bridge the gap between lands and nonlands. There are a ton of good proposals in this direction already in the community

@@ArgumentumAdHominem Like what, for example?

@@felity1773 Just google it. "How to solve MTG mana problem", "How to make MTG less random" etc. There are a ton of interesting forum posts by people who have given it a lot of thought. Even WOTC themselves experimented with it in the past. For example, have a look at "Sovereign's realm" conspiracy for completely landless gameplay. This ruleset can also be modified to make mana production bound to the color identity of the exiled card, thus making multicolored decks less consistent. Any format with such severe rule changes would inevitably see a long ban list of cards that would be overpowered, and that's ok. What's important is to make a format where complicated decisions have higher impact on the outcome of the games, as opposed to random chance, and this is a sacrifice I am sure many players are willing to make.
