You'll Never Walk Alone and Sunshine On Leith. Two of the best club anthems in the world. No bigotry, no hate, just passion for their club. A tear in the eye when I hear both. GGTTH
@@johntate5050 Got you facts wrong friend! You’ll never walk alone was first played at Celtic Park when Celtic hosted Liverpool in a European Cup Winners Cup tie! Liverpool then followed suit!🥂🍀🇨🇮
@@josephobrien2142 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cBYtBb98w3Y.html Here's a video of Liverpool fans singing YNWA in the 1960s3 Stop making up bullshit. In the 1960s Liverpool fans started singing songs by Merseybeat bands due to the global popularity of The Beatles. Out of all the songs Gerry & the Pacemaker's cover of YNWA was the song that struck a chord. Gerry & the Pacemakers were a Liverpool band. There are videos of Gerry explaining the history of Liverpool & YNWA. Celtic didn't start singing it u ntil the Celtic vs Liverpool Hillsborough disaster match in the 1990s. At celtic Park they now play the Gerry & the Pacemakers version. Why the hell would a Glasgow club play a song by a Liverpool band? 1960s. Send a link to celtic fans singing it earlier if you can. You can't of course because it doesn't exist
This is how football should be. Support your team with a passion, but respect rival fans right to do the same. Spine tingling atmosphere shared by all. Brings a tear to the eye and joy to the heart. What a contrast to the “tourist league” /selfie obsessed, soulless experience offered elsewhere in football.
As a tic supporter I’ll give you that. When you were singing sunshine on leith after pumping the vile mob it was the best thing I’ve heard. Hands down. 🙌
Dude I was a proud hibee (*for the day) and when you sang that it really got to me. Its a beautiful song and it captures how yoyr team can torment you but it's all worth it for that one beautiful day. Like YNWA it's about brotherhood, togetherness. Hats off to the hibees
That blond bird looks genuinely shocked at the colour & noise same with the wee boy too I don't think they hear or see scene's like that in Spain only we can do that
There’s a longer piece - also filmed by a Barca fan - which captures more of the atmosphere on that night… ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8sf711rNtc4.html including the same YNWA, Just Can’t Get Enough,an amazing “huddle” & touching scenes at the end with Celtic fans throwing scarves into the Barca section. Spine tingling passion and respect shared with rival fans
Ye,that's a wee daft thing to say 🤣🤣 . For starters lfc have won the big big European Cup a few more times🤣🤣🙈🙈🙉🙉 . Calm down celtic laddie! We love you xx ,but that was a wee bit daft .
@@pedrosaliba2463 Nonsense. Liverpool were singing YNWA in the 1960s. They sang Gerry & the Pacemakers version (a Liverpool band). celtic didn't start singing YNWA until the 1990s when they played Liverpool at a Hillsborough tribute. Why the hell would a Glasgow club play the Gerry Marsden version? YNWA is on the gates at Anfield ffs. get your history right kid.
diehard Liverpool Fan Here. Love this. Love Celtic. Celtic are amazing and I would love to come to Celtic park for a away day one day in Europe maybe👀👀
@Daniel Mc ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8AXxf52k0cE.html PMSL @ Irish immigrants bringing it to Celtic. There's always one kid making up bullshit like this. Here's a link to Liverpool singing YNWA in 1965. Show me a video of Celtic singing it before the 1990s. If celtic were singing it in the 1950s, why didnt they sing it at your biggest game in your entire history - the 1967 European Cup final? You didnt sing it because you didnt start singing it until after the 1990s celtic vs Liverpool Hillsborough memorial match where Celtic fans sang it as a tribute with Liverpool. Stop making up fibs you lying little toad.
@Daniel Mc ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pr2XJ_0t0QI.html Celtic play the Gerry & the Pacemakers version of YNWA you tit! Gerry & The Pacemakers were a Liverpool band. It's why Liverpool sing YNWA. They used to sing Merseybeat hits in the 1960s and YNWA was the one they took to heart. Why would a Glasgow club sing a 1960s hit by a Liverpool band in the 1950s before the song was even released by gerry & the Pacemakersffs? Watch this video and learn kid. Gerry talks about YNWA and how Liverpool adopted it. It even says YNWA on the gates of Anfield. Why you kids embarrass yourself with fibs is beyond me.
@Daniel Mc You saying something is a fact doesn't make it a fact. I've asked you to send me a video of Celtic singing it before Liverpool but you can't because it doesn't exist. I'm old enough to remember celtic in their glory days and they never ever sang YNWA. You can't tell me why Celtic play the Gerry and the Pacemakers song if it isn't a direct copy of Liverpool. You're just full of shit. You don't have a shred of proof to back up your claim.
@Daniel Mc I haven't deleted any comments mate. They're all still there. So come on, where's this video of Celtic singing YNWA in 1964 and why didnt you sing it at the 1967 European cup final if it was your song? Give it up kid. You're making yourself look more feeble with every comment. Is your club that insignificant that you have to fabricate bullshit history?
