@@triplesixcrow y’all clearly haven’t had a good Superman then. The ones done correctly taste like vanilla (the yellow), cherry (the red), and blue moon (you can guess the color)
@@ryath1030 They sell Superman ice cream at Kilwin. (I think that's the name) I'm like 99℅ sure Kilwin is from Michigan. Most ice cream shops in Michigan sell Superman ice cream. I can never find it in Georgia
@@0bliv0n45 I am from flint Michigan but I live in Nevada now. I saw ice cream one time about 15 yrs ago that looked like superman ice cream but I never bought it and I haven't seen it since. They don't have a lot of things out west as they do in the midwest or east. They don't sell Faygo here. If they do it's really expensive and only in a glass bottle. They just started selling Vernors pop out here not that long ago. When I first moved out here, I asked for a pop at a restaurant. The waitress looked at us and said I'll need to go ask my manager. My parents and I looked at her like she was nuts. She came back and said she doesn't sell pop or anything like that. She has never heard if it. I said you don't sell Coca-Cola or Pepsi? She said, oh you mean soda. My family and were shocked. Then my family simultaneously said yes.... soda... pop... Like she was from another planet lol. That was one of our first experiences here in Nevada LOL. I guess I'll try to find it online I know I'll have to pay for overnight shipping who knows. We used to get it at kessles. Thank you tho
“You’ve never seen a ice cream cake made like this before” Me who’s never even seen an ice cream cake be made: *I’m 1,000 parallel universes behind you*
I was actually literally thinking the opposite for once. I’ve seen many of these loop-style vids, so no offence, but it highlighted this video’s choppy loop😬
@@michaeltrevino8234 frosting is also a mind and consistency thing for me because i know frosting is like 90% butter i kinda get disgusted eating whipped butter and sugar, i can almost feel the diabetes and fondant is what they use too make decorative cakes, it's like a thin layer of something that resembles playdough, it's just made out of sugar, for me anything with extreme amounts of butter/fat or sugar turns me off instantly.
Exactlyyyy idk why but I find too much frosting ruins a cake for me I love the moist sponge of the cake better than the actual frosting, but I think soft serve would be delicious when paired with a cake!!
My local ice-cream shop made them from scratch. He made the ice-cream artisanal with real, natural ingredients and completely follows the wish of the costumer. He will even try to make your persenal ice-cream taste even if he had never tried that flavour before. He also makes his own pralines and chocolate also for the cake. That is real craftsmanship.
Why is literally nobody talking about how the video almost perfectly loops- Woah, the replies are crazy lol Okay so I made this comment before watching his other videos...
It’s actually a lot more difficult than it looks. I’ve made a couple cakes at DQ and we use ss. It can really be a pain to work with unless it’s the perfect consistency which it never is
Who wants a 'diet' cake? Especially if it has fake sugar? Now that junk is really bad for you. Sugar in moderation is fine. If sweet desserts eaten on special occasions, then indulge a little and don't worry about calories sugar and fat. If a dessert is sweeter than I usually eat then I drink ice cold milk with it or icy cold water. With chocolate desserts, I prefer milk. I usually drink coffee with powdered creamer or milk and sugar. But, if I have a sweet dessert, I just splash milk in my coffee. No sugar. It balances out great for me.
I feel like ppl who work at ice-cream shops are a big part of kids' happiness, and probably have a place in lots of people's heart. Props to all of yall.
I work at a pizza place and the amount of kids who will talk your ear off about how much they love pizza and how cool you are for working there is insane and adorable, definitely has to be 10x the frequency if you work at an ice cream place for sure though.
I have never seen an ice cream cake made before I didn't even know you use real cake and ice cream cake I thought it was just ice cream thank you for showing me this
Despite how colorful and terribly sweet and this looks, the flavors blend together perfectly. The red is cherry, the yellow is lemon and the blue is clove. The reason it tastes like fruit loops is cause fruit loops are clove flavored, and this ice cream is the perfect representation of fantastic flavors blending together perfectly
@@caldwell20066 clove chewing gum is definitely a much more strong flavor. The coating used on fruit loops is so miniscule that it jsut gives the slightest flavor. As does the amount used in blue moon, along with marshmallow flavor (which is what's the blue portion of this is)
I haven’t really looked through the comments so idk, but to shed some light: Superman ice cream is a Midwestern flavor, originated in Michigan. He is not making a Superman (superhero) themed cake lol
YES THANK YOU!! It's my favorite flavor but since I've moved from MI to Texas I haven't been able to find it ANYWHERE. I can't even find out what flavor it Superman ice cream is and I want some soooo bad 😭
@@noellebedard5712 yes I saw the same- I remember it tasting like bubblegum or cotton candy. Cherry vanilla and bubblegum? Sound disgusting together lol, I swear the blue was cotton candy.
@@domtoretto1226 da fuq are you even talking about how do you get that out of his post? He was simply saying it's not super man as in the super hero it's just a mid western FLAVOR. Where did he rag on anyone???
Ive made plenty at my first job Dairy Queen from 1992-1994. We made dilly bars, buster bars, dq sandwiches in house. They dont do anything in house anymore since the stores are not individually owned. We learned the correct way to make an ice cream cone first. It takes lots of practice so u get that memory muscle. I bet I can still make one with the curl.
That is Super Man ice cream & it’s the best!! I remember this treat when I was a kid, it was seriously my favorite kind of ice cream! I wish they had it around more ice cream shops still.
That's exactly what I say to myself when someone says something like that. Lol Kind of like the old commercial "what in YOUR WALLET?" I used to say "none of your got dayam business mf".
The best ice cream cakes I ever had were made by a store called Gifford’s. It was all ice cream (different flavors), and the “frosting” between layers and outside the cake was whipped cream that would freeze in storage. They used food coloring in the whipped cream to make flowers/decorations. Absolutely amazing!
Last place i had it was when i lived in florida, they have (had?) It at an ice cream parlor at Clearwater Beach on the beach Been my favorite ice cream ever since, but i live on the west coast now unfortunately
