Saying "it's not Joe" is literally wild lmao. The show had to do this because people have been romanticizing this man and acting like he isn't a complete psychopath. Joe is an unreliable narrator and has literally done this to beck in season 1. He kidnapped her, and locked in the box until she agreed to accept him for who he is (a sadistic killer) and to love him so they can be together. Just like he is with marienne in season 4. Like everyone telling nathan that he must be watching a different show is crazy because they clearly must be. This has been Joe since season 1, he just narrated himself to being better because that's how he sees himself. (Unless they're just fooling around because no way). Plus he literally has a hero-complex. You see him going around attempting to save people he deems as "unwell" or "needs" him. He literally thinks himself as doing favors. So of course what he thinks he's doing is okay. This show definitely needed this episode, because at least people are seeing how unwell Joe is and how he actually needs help. Season 4 Joe and season 1 Joe are the same, only difference is, season 4 Joe is spiraling out of control and losing his mind. We've seen it happen gradually over the seasons, but he's finally got to the point where he's lost his mind.

To say how my jaw dropped after watching this episode!! The main reason she didn't want to call the police is because it was more than her getting out of the cage. Sure she could have called the police and gotten out of the cage but she has no proof that Joe was the one that literally put her in there. They would probably take him in for questioning and he would answer all the questions and they would just let him go leaving him free basically to continue to stalk her.

We’ve seen Joe kidnap a girlfriend in order to “give her time” and “make the relationship work” in season 1 with Guinevere Beck. Joe’s an unreliable narrator who romanticises every single connection he makes with a woman, and we haven’t seen anyone else’s perspective but his since like the YOU S1 finale. This episode is meant to be a brutal reminder of how unhinged his behaviour looks to everyone who’s not in his head. I personally LOVED it!

Serial killer's are known to escalate their behavior as they become more unhinged. Joe was never a guy you should be rooting for that is the point ..others around him were bad as well so Joe started to seem not so bad this season is telling you no Joe Is The Villian of these stories

Fact of the matter is he has NEVER been a good person . Since season 1 he was clinically INSANE ! He was narrated better so nobody could see the real him .. but he is dangerous , a psychopath, and somebody everybody should run from . He is scary AF ! The plot twist was everything though .

Writing of this show is actually insane as anybody realize that the scenes with Marienne telling story to her daughter in paris that they showed in this episode actually happen after Marienne was saved by Nadia from the glass cage in the season finale but we won't notice until finale as we don't yet know at this point that Marienne gonna be saved or not from joe's cage we just think this scenes are her imagination while being trapped in glass cage🙌

It’s crazy cause when the series when on break at episode 5 someone made a theory video about how Rhys is just in Joes mind because of how Rhys never interacts with the group and that one scene at the dinner table when Joe was tlking to Rhys and that guy asked Joe who is he talking to

It's scary to digest that we see the story of joe goldberg a male character unfold in this show was actually written by 75% of female writers on the show starting from creator of show is female and author of the books is female🙌👏

as much as i love nathan being right i would hate him to spot one of coolest plot twists for me... i just enjoyed shock later myself without any theories in mind, it was so cool. i remember during s2 s3 when people were into theories that beck is alive and doing stuff, was just nuts that when i stopped reading all crap on internet, and im happy i went dark on this season also it was Love death that triggered this condition of blackouts and multiple personalities, he really loved her as soulmate but his fetish of stalking and fixing on other girls won and her death was beyond traumatic for him, s4 is completely diferent joe

It was a good twist, but imo predictable. On the wait between part 1 and part 2, it was not too hard to predict that Joe was going through a manic episode and (likely) had Marriene locked in the box somewhere. For one thing, there's no way that they do a season of this show without the cage lmao. That being said, Nathan as usual is the smartest one of the group. And as usual, he's the one with the good takes lol

Y'all joking right? 😂 Because it's at the point that y'all are fan girling, excusing, and rooting for a psychopath in the same way all the girlies that are cookoo root for him. And I get its a show and its all ha has but they seemed genuinely bothered at the end that Joe isnt getting some sort of happy ending hero redemption arc. Hint: that was never supposed to happen for him 😂 not only did every episode of the series make this clear but the writers and actors have stated as much as well. The only way for Joe to change is when his body temperature turns from warm to cold. They're finally kind of seeing Joe for who he is, although it took them 4 seasons lmaooo.

🤔 I initially became suspicious that this is all in his head when the text messages disappeared.Then he started finding random body parts in his possession. I realized exactly what was happening when Reese showed up at the mansion. Even if none of the guests saw him, staff would've... but no one mentioned it. And Joe being locked in the cellar with that d-bag photographer made no sense at all, if Reese wanted to frame him for all the murders. I was like... Joe is bat-shit crazy. 😂 And probably has D.I.D I was wrong about one thing tho. I thought Joe killed MaryAnne and refused to think about. Sound familiar? He did the same thing with Candice 😅 This show is wild. Not easy to predict... but I was close. 😏
