The best part of growing up in the 60's, 70's and 80's was there was no camera's or cell phones to record the stupid , dangerous dumb things we did. 😂😅😮
This is one of my favorite channels on RU-vid! Love the beagle, wish it was me doing what your doing. I don't usually comment but when you said the beagle doesn't complain, l would like to remind you how you can hear her from a half mile away, when you leave her home alone. L.O.L.
Winter is good as all of the Tourons (as they are fondly known) go back home. With your mad driving skills, you’ll have no problems. It does get mighty muddy on hikes and stuff. It can flood, but that’s alway a fun adventure. I’ve had my heart set on South Carolinee for quite some time. A warmer climate is way overdo. Some Southern hospitality and good sense would be super appreciated at this stage in “the game”. Big hugs to you and Wavey from me and the kitties.
Can I ask what got you out in Oregon Eva? I've spent time in Oregon myself (and Seattle) if you're trying to get out of the rain, the coastal Carolinas will be just as bad unfortunately:( and humid. It's hard to find a warm place in America that isn't people piled up like cordwood. That's why I put up with cold when I have to, keeps the hordes out. I'm thinking about coastal Maine
I've said it before i thoroughly enjoy your musings and wanderings you have a real talent . I don't know if you recognize it but the title for your writings you uttered today pontifictions in paradise. You and lesser moon with his blue highways
@@brentonsriversidehermitagedr said end of summer good chance back on 2 wheels again. I waited 30 years I’ll wait a few more months to heal this right. Screw it up and brace for life. Want no part of that. Safe journeys!!!
I liked to walk around and exploring places when I was younger. Growing up in Toronto, Rush is still my favorite all time band. Have seen them 4 times, you might be on to something there. And the meek share inhert the earth...Give Wavey a pat for me Brenton...
Those non-mooring piers were probably built as river view platforms or for fishermen. Our town has one that they don’t allow boats to tie up to. I agree with you, if it is a public platform, it should be made available to boaters as well.
That was a fishing platform, and it was also set up for handicapped access. Now how would you like it if you went there to fish but couldn’t because there were boats in the way.
I once worked at a machine shop with a guy that did some time in prison. In the lunchroom sometimes the discussion would come around to well I’ve never done anything wrong, so I don’t care if there are cameras. The former prisoner had a saying that is oh so true. If sheet rock could talk, everyone would be in jail. It’s kind of biblical all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Don’t forget the cameras in the sky!! Google balloons etc that can see a soccer ball from where they are 50000 ft up. Military flights equipped with cameras and listening devices criss cross the sky hundreds of times daily. Recording everything. The consolation is that in very rural areas there may likely be fewer of them. 😞
Just watched the first episode of a man about your age who decided to do the loop in a 40 ft cabin cruiser with all the electronics. Three hours out his alternator goes kaput. A lesson if there ever was one to keep it simple stupid. You are doing it the right Dude!
This is just great being able to listen to a true brother’s thoughts about life. Really. Thank you. Man…I’d never leave that freakin’ park if I didn’t have to. How gorgeous! It’s so funny how so many friends of Matt like the same movies and music. I love that. I am so sad to hear you’re not fond of all those rules, though. I really think we’d be so much better off with even more. :) And more cameras too please! Big hugs and love from me and the kitties in soggy Oregon.
Eva :) wait until you see how difficult it is just to go to shore here on the east of Florida. Covering all the exits the Notilc is doing. I'm planning on touring the entire Oregon coast next winter in the school bus skoolie build. I love Cape Blanco ;)
That’s just crazy that people were hogging the shore there. People are really something else these days. I almost got knocked down by three different men at Costco today. I miss the good old days, even if they weren’t that good. :) If I’m still living in the Communist metro area of Salem next winter, you and Wavey are welcome to be our guests here in our home. It’s small, but we got room for company…as long as Wavey can handle the kitties. They can hold their own with dogs. :) I know the northern Oregon Coast like the back of my hand. Lived there for 20 years. I could give you some cool things to go see that most miss. It would be the best ever to meet you guys. @@brentonsriversidehermitage
I prefer discussion over debate. Debate is an exercise in sophistry where fallacy often influences a "win" by deception, where discussion is a course to mutual understanding. Certainly Rush.

Eva, We're getting really close to getting out of Florida and into Georgia. I'm excited. I've never been up the east coast. A real adventure ;) We definitely need more cameras!
The cameras are everywhere out here near Salem. Holy crap. Was almost blinded by one going into a Kroger owned store over the summer as it snapped a picture or something. Maybe it sucked out part of my brain. Who knows. I try not to ever go back there because of it. You’ll love the East Coast. It’s so pretty. I really dig the old stone houses and the most excellent graveyards. Boston has the best tombstones I’ve ever seen. You’ll walk away with even more questions. Me and the kitties send you and Miss Wavy oodles of love!@@brentonsriversidehermitage
@brentonsvlogchannel2207 for sure. He was a brilliant.... Man you should bring your scoot come to the smokey Mt small-bore rally. This year. First weekend in June. Maryville TN.
Caloosahatchee River! Wow. Back in the 1980's I used to live in Punta Gorda (next river up) and compete in sailboard regattas they'd have in the Caloosahatchee near the US Route 41 bridges there at Fort Myers. I'll have to go back through your vlog to see if you went into Charlotte Harbor.
This is a nice part of Florida. It becomes apparent (slowly, like 5 MPH) that Florida off the coasts is completely different. It becomes "The South" other than along the water, where it's still million dollar estates. We found an abandoned place today right on the river. Probably annexed by the county park, old Florida place. Of course I won't be showing THAT footage;)
Thanks for the video Brenton ! The point of installing the pier at 0:25 is probably not, as you said: "so people can't use it." Since you didn't provide closer views I can only speculate (as you have also done.) While the pier does not seem to be intended to provide access for boaters it may be there to provide access to the waterfront from the shore. It may be there for pedestrians to enjoy the view, take photos, cast a fishing line and/or have a picnic over the water. They are the people that have probably paid a fee to use the park. The pier is likely for their use and enjoyment. (I guess It is not intended for the benefit of freeloaders on houseboats and yachts. 😜) Allowing mooring at this pier does not seem to be consistent with the intended purpose. Moored boats could fill up the most desirable section of the pier and restrict full access and enjoyment by those who might want to use it for fishing as well as those who want to enjoy the view of the waterway. While you might argue that no one was using it, however; the more conditions, exceptions and qualifications there are on use the more difficult it becomes to manage and enforce. He who pays the piper usually gets to call the tune.
The state or local counties and cities have plenty of fishing piers along the waterways. They are also handicapped accessible. It's great for those who don't have boats and depend on fishing to provide protein in their diets that they don't have to pay inflation prices for at a supermarket.
In Delaware there are 400 surveillance cameras per mile average. I HATE it. I resent the loss of privacy. I can’t hang laundry in my yard without being on three of my neighbor’s surveillance cameras. It is just plain creepy and I do not like any of it.
Brenton, add 5 man electrical band "Signs", Sign, sign Everywhere a sign Blockin' out the scenery Breakin' my mind Do this, don't do that Can't you read the sign!!!!!!!!!! I enjoy your travels and mindset. " Keep Pushin' on"
Jeepers creepers Brenton and wavey. you’ve got to give some consideration to the Rolling Stones and Alice Cooper. even Groucho Marx liked Alice. talking about cameras Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia probably have one camera for every 10 people walking around town. I know, I know that’s a whole different story. Nice video my friends. Thanks for letting me visit with you.❤
0:38 I know what you are saying, but I don't think this necessarily has to be a case of someone being spiteful. It could be just as simple as the structure not being 110% up to safety standards/regulations (which are often overkill in many areas of the country) and they don't want to be held liable for anything that might go wrong with people using it because everyone in this country is sue happy, whether they are at fault or not.
It's a conundrum. Chicken and egg argument. An ex female cop in Tennessee just got 500k pay out after sleeping with half the police department in a small town. There's no such thing as law and order anymore. It hardly matters at this point...and we're being replaced as we speak. See what's left of America while you can, then find a back 40 100 miles (at least) from any major metro and dig in. I'm not kidding! ;)
It's easy to properly pronounce these names when you break them down into syllables... Ca-loo-sa-hatch-ee You had a couple names when coming down the Mississippi that crashed and burned. Try not to say them as one word. I also love to walk, and am not afraid of the rain. (I live on the Oregon coast, and it RAINS here!) But I always have an umbrella. No reason to get soaked needlessly.
"Ain't no body here but us beagles" :) she thinks I'm nuts...but I'm the only one that knows how to run the self check out in the dollar stores;) she's sort of stuck with me
Is it differnt talking to yourself if you don't have a camera? Ever hear an echo while you are thinking (loud)? Hard time falling to sleep untill you have won the argument? Not making fun with you, I spend 95% of my time alone with myself, We argue alot.
