POV: You're Gumshoe trying to solve the case so you can finally get the long-awaited answer of why Grossberg was in the boathouse

Case 1: RT gets shot at by a cop and falls down 5 floors and only gets a broken leg in the first 2 minutes Case 2: RT gets to the crime scene before the cops, and somehow misses 2 other people and chases down this one woman that tried fleeing the scene, Chat informs RT that there were 3 other people at the crime scene including the victim (whom was dead). RT was somehow right that the first and only person he noticed was in fact the killer. He also bribed said killer for their name. Case 3: RT buys camera and handcuffs. Case 4: RT is fighting a naked nerd for control of a light switch. If this case was set in the Lights Out universe then RT would be dead and a new crime scene would be invented. Case 5: RT drinks and throws a cup of coffee on the ground, Local bar patrons draw guns and throw hands.

That murder scene with victim, police, a murderer and a red herring, all in same apartment, looks like something RT would play out in Sims.

Ronan seems like the type of guy who manually turns off the light in the fridge before closing it.

"Time to solve crimes!" *arrested trying to enter crime scene.* *smashes random civilian's window and falls off building.* *only catches perp after they murder someone else and then willingly tell the detective their name.*

How most Detectives operate: *Present ID so the cop overlooking the crime scene knows they're allowed in* How RT operates: *Break into the crime scene, contaminate and destroy the crime scene, steal evidence, run from the scene while being shot at, throws themselves off a balcony to get down faster*

Nothing as funny as "there were only 2 people in that apartment. Give me a clip and I'll prove it" to see 4 people in the clip.

RT solving crimes as a detective. Yup, this won't go horribly wrong super fast.

RT walks into a room and sees only the body and the *most* well hidden person present.

I loved the adventures of Justin Case. There so many Drebin-esque moments. 3:00 and 11:40 almost seems like they were scripted.

I love it when RTGame plays immersive sims and imsim-adjacent games. I wonder how he'd do in Deus Ex (the original from 2000).

This game gets extremely easy after you understood how it works. There are four the most OP ways to identify the culprit: -Fingerprints. There are always some fingerprints at the crime scene. Pin them as an evidence that they were there. Also remember to search the body so you know how they were killed and when. -Asking neighbors around if something suspicious has happened. They will usually tell you the time they saw somebody and body type of the culprit. -CCTV. Almost every building has a security room or rather management room. You can find two things in there; residents files and the CCTV. Look through files first, then look at the recording at the time of the murder. After looking through the files first you'll recognize all the citizens that live there, simply ignore them looking for unknowns then inspect if they fit the description given by the neighbors. -NPCs never lie. If you find the culprit and want to confirm it 100% ask them if they know the victim. They will tell you that they saw them at the crime scene at the time they died. The side quests can be much harder, especially arrest cases. The hardest one I had was to arrest a bald guy with black hair that loves music and his fingerprint is the BB type, no more info. I play at a large city so no, I haven't found him... yet. My main way of looking for him is breaking into CCTVs and pinning all the black haired baldies and then going through them one at a time. It's been weeks, lol.

5:47 hold on... if you watch the video and focus, you'll notice that the character on the right is wearing a striped shirt. At 5:51 we see Luli Han changing from a striped shirt into the trenchcoat. Was Luli Han not even the one sneaking about the apartment?? Did RT hunt down the wrong guy and get it right????

I wanna see this game more it suits RT so well

I love breaking into the crime scene while being shot by the Officer at the scene, fleeing and leaping down a stairwell to break your legs. Then coming back and getting shot several more times trying to "investigate" the crime scene. I nearly died laughing at the mad dash into the crime scene to frantically grab anything that isn't nailed down, smash stuff, and generally absolutely trash the crime scene until the police get there and start shooting you, so you take the express exit over the side of building to escape.

When you use the wrong formula but still get the right answer…

This just makes me want an RT play through of the original Deus Ex.

Oh man, I've been following this game since it was some tiny unknown title in 2019. It's amazing to see it covered by the big shot youtubers now that it's finally out!

There is a movie called "Justin Case" about a Ghost that has to solve his own murder.

Actually got the game myself yesterday after watching barely any of his stream, safe to say I’m hooked, this game is actually sick.

This was one hell of a ride. Hope you do it again.

One of my favourite qualities of an RT let's play is I can never tell if it's a bad game or if this Irish lunatic is just playing it the worst way possible haha.

I hope RT continues playing Shadow of a doubt cause these are hilarious.

Getting shot several times, falling 5 stories, and recovering in only 3 hours is the most irish thing I've seen in a bit.

I've been playing this game for about 12 hours now... And I'm playing it as more of a thief simulator than a detective crime game

we can be detectives doing crimes and we can be lawyers doing guys (ace attorney) soon we will be the entire justice system

It’s a horror-comedy (mostly comedy) indie game where you have to get to your hotel room in a very, uh. *Interesting* hotel. Also, you’re dead. This hotel is in the afterlife. Whoops! I wonder if we’ll find out how you died? And why the guests are so weird?? And how to tame a bird by letting it bully you until it gives up??? It’s stupidly funny but genuinely very good. You meet some very interesting characters, including one who is up there with my all-time favourites!! An absolute sweetheart, even if he is a dumbass. Heart of gold, brain of spaghetti and pyrite. It should take around 5 hours to get through, more or less. A streamer I watch called Insym split it up into two streams, and combined they were something like 5 hours and 7 minutes??? Also, the game isn’t actually that well-known, and it’s such a shame, because it really is good! I’d be elated if you played it, so that more people could get to experience the greatness that is The Upturned. If you accept my request, I will grant you the status of honorary godfather of my giant reindeer plush.
