You also encourage people to read the scriptures for themselves- that is a hallmark of sincerity and honesty. We are in the middle of a cosmic battle and it is raging. Our very existence is the opportunity to choose whom we will serve. To live our lives in a way that prompts others to acknowledge that they indeed are a living soul and consider their need for salvation is our greatest calling. You present truth in a way that attracts people and inspires a desire to learn more. That is a gift from God my brother and I thank you for using it well. God loves you and so do I.

Really intressting. I am Christian but during several years I have just attended different churches sporadicle. I live in Sweden and I know there are not any orthodox Church in my town. Not many of them in my contry I think. It is funny though. I lived in Cyprus and was married to a Greek oethodox (civil marriage) but he was not a real believer. My two sons are baptized in the orthodox Church and I did like to go there during holidays like easter and Christmas. I lived near St Lazarus Church and it was quite a feeling to enter the building were St Lazarus was burried. That is also the Church were my sons were baptized. Well, just want to say I really liked this video

Jay, first thank you so much!! My journey to Christ and repentance is relatively new. So please bear with me and my ignorance as I navigate this journey and discover scripture. I’m so curious...have we had biblical times, like we are witnessing now, at any other time in history aside from when Christ was on this Earth? It certainly feels as though we are witnessing the end times but I’m wondering if this is a cyclical phenomenon or are we witnessing the most phenomenal spiritual battle for the first time since His birth, death and resurrection? Interesting, I think I finally get it. Looking at the bible as stories to guide your life, stop succumbing to your internal demons, make better decisions, take responsibility for your own action or lack thereof, treat other people the way you want to be treated, and yeah, you'll live a better life - or be forever in illbeing, depending on what you choose... Got it. I recently started down this path on my own, not from reading scripture but just from applying logic and reason after crises in my life - rebirth I guess you could say. I wanted something more from life than to be under influence of drugs and anger and hate of my own self and so on... Of course it's spiritual... mental... cosmic... of course!... Well, I'll be darned. There you go.

I've had this question ever since I got my hands on my Orthodox Study Bible: is it okay that the New Testament within is the NKJV while the Old Testament is not? I was considering getting the Geneva Bible after I finish the Old Testament because I know that the NKJV takes out a plethora of verses from the already altered KJV.

Huge numbers of Latin Catholics just won't know the meaning of words like hypostasis and eschaton, and there is no Orthodox church or Greek Catholic church anywhere near them. They are happy with the view that saints like John Fisher and Thomas More are heroes of the faith and with their Latin rite. They are of course free to purchase Greek Catholic theological works and to take an interest in the Greek Catholic church. Do you have anything to say to them?
