I never knew what this track was titled. This makes me feel 10x worse. I can't not be sad whenever I think about Silver's story ending. It's so god damn heartbreaking. His future is messed up, he gets tricked, makes a friend (Amy) and instantly loses her trust, questions his morals, gets roundhouse kicked, witnesses multiple peoples death in the lab, was responsible for Elise being put somewhere safe, etc. etc. and then loses his only companion in life. What's the point in a fixed future if he loses the only other person that mattered to him? He doesn't even really get time to mourn...this all happens during the other stories endings, so right after this, Sonic dies and then they all get pulled into the End of The World, where he gives a uplifting speech to a bunch of people he doesn't know, who probably doesn't care about what just happened to him or Blaze. They get rid of the bad guy and then every thing goes back to normal - for everyone but Silver. Blaze is still in another dimension. All of Sonic's friends go back to where they were before this all started, they're fine. Silver has to live alone. Did Blaze even have to sacrifice herself? If they got rid of Iblis in the past (present), why would it matter if Silver and Blaze sealed Iblis into another dimension? When Elise blew out the flame, that got rid of Iblis therefore he wouldn't exist in the future. I might be completed wrong, someone please correct me if I am, I only played this game earlier this year.
And that's why he's my favorite sonic character someone who can find hope even when the situations are the most dier and throw himself away for people who don't even know him
i am not sure how far into the future it is but i cant imagine its that far since there days away from it happening. even if it was a few years silver would still exist, he would just be younger and none the wiser to who sonic is ......until forces lol
I know they were mostly meant to be friends but you can actually felt some chemistry between Silver and Blaze in this scene. In future games, it’s hinted that they vaguely remember this moment.
@@bajikeisukeswife In the DS version of Sonic Colors, Silver said to Blaze that it "feels almost as if [they've] paired up before", while in Generations, Blaze said that she "never thought [she'd] be [at Crisis City] again".
Oh fuck, this so cute. Silvaze is the most adorable couple in Sonic games. I was crying a lot when I listen those words of an innocent love. They are like the personification of the platonic love, that is hidden by the friendship. It's so beautiful!!
The first few notes play just after Amy says she'd choose Sonic over the world. It foreshadows that Silver tried choosing Blaze over the world too, but she *needed* to do it. He was too naive ;_;
What 06 Did Right -Shadow -The Music -Some of the cutscenes -Mephiles What 06 Did Wrong -Gameplay (Although I still like the game as a whole don't @me) -Killing off Blaze
Back in 2011, I had this game because of my sister, I remember even finishing the game myself. I’ve never really looked into the game, and still thinking to myself that it’s an amazing game. Unlike most sonic games now days, the storyline is very short yet boring due to the stages of the game repeating. Sonic 06 was rushed, because of this there where many errors in the game, and also the story line never made sense making players confused. This is why sonic 06 is the most failed game sega had released. That being said, this doesn’t mean the game is hated by everyone. Sure there are thousands of people who saw this game as a childhood memory including myself. It’s a game where we can have this nostalgic feeling, when we come back to visit it. Besides being a nostalgic game, it’s storyline may be confusing, but there’s more to adventure in the game. Each stage was different, and most of them weren’t as short, or boring. As I said before sonic games now doesn’t really have that. If sega were to remaster this game, I would definitely buy it.
I shipped them so hard as a kid yall don’t even know. Like, I remember animating a special version of their with a kiss at the end, while listening to this piece (and frank sinatra) Thanks for the memories, 06😂
I think my headcanon for this is that both Blaze and Silver do remember 06. They both share impossible memories. When Blaze is sealed away into another dimension, it's the Sol dimension. When Silver wakes up in the future, he still remembers the past. I think that the events of 06 are remembered by Sonic, Shadow, Silver (all Chaos users) and Blaze (a Sol user). I think Shadow, who clearly took Silver under his wing a little in 06, may have been the one who travelled to his future and helped reunite him and Blaze.
I love how powerful this scene is, both in the Snapcube dub and the actual game cutscenes. The tone shifting midway through into this heroic track that's simultaneously suspenseful, invigorating, and depressing, how the cut in the music lends way to a beautiful finish, the sense of bittersweet hope that this scene just gives off, it's one of my favourite tracks in the entire soundtrack, and one of my favorites out of a lot of orchestral tracks I've listened to
Silver: Chaos Emeralds, lend me your power! Eternal Sun! The Living Flame that has been entrusted to the royal family! Fall into slumber with my soul, Iblis! You cursed Flames of Disaster! Silver: No! Why won't it accept me as the vessel? Silver: Blaze! Blaze: I'll take Iblis. Blaze: Don't worry. My soul is already alit with flames. I will be accepted. Blaze: Come on, make it quick. Use your Chaos Control... to stop time. Then... seal us into a different dimension. Silver: No! I can't do that to you! Blaze: Didn't we already go through this? We agreed to save the world at any price! Silver: I can't! I wouldn't know what to do without you! You've fought alongside me to save the world... You're my friend... Right? Blaze:You're still so naive. But... I... I've always liked that about you. Silver: Blaze! Blaze: Good luck, Silver. -Sonic 06 Silver's story
I remember crying when I saw this for the first time... for a lot of reasons 1. I was a middle schooler 2. I shipped Silvaze like no one's business 3. Silver was sad and I had a crush on him at the time 4. Blaze was my favorite character and she just got killed off I'm glad the game did the whole "let's pretend this entire game never existed" plot device so it technically never happened
Huh, what seems to be the strangest thing that returns to my mind after hearing this is that Ian Flynn had stated that Blaze instantly gets sent to her world after she "dies" in 06. It kinda makes sense now that I am thinking about it. This ending happens right before the End of the World/Solaris Awakening. And then the game's events are erased, while Blaze was already gone in the first place. Poor Silver, is now in the future all alone, never having met, remembered, nor forgotten his only friend, Blaze the Cat... 😔 Well, that was until he was reintroduced in Sonic Rivals
I just played the game last night on the 3rd story after 1st and 2nd and I immediately I freaked out crying in tears my favorite girl Blaze died and I was so sad that I remembered that from a long time ago when I was a 3rd and grader and then after that I fell into a pit of rage at my childhood nightmare demon mephiles and about to go back to finish shadow story and yelled Mephiles you are going pay for tricking and killing my friend Blaze I yelled in a furious anger and rage.
Probably the one sonic scene that gets me. I love blaze to death. So this scene and basically any scene where she’s in peril or dies breaks my heart. I never cried because I’m an unfeeling bastard, but damn. Damn damn damn. I think the most this scene has hurt me was a couple days ago when me and a friend were watching sonic 06 cutscenes. I was breathing heavily and my fingers felt tingly. I love you, blaze. I really do
Blaze: come on use chaos control too stop time and send us to a different dimension Silver: no can’t do that to you Blaze: didn’t we already go through this to at least safe the world at any price Silver: I don’t know what to do without you, you fought along side me to safe the world you’re my friend right Blaze: your so naive but I’m always like that about you Silver: Blaze Blaze: good luck Silver
The truth is she doesn't die, she sealed herself in another dimension, and about generation, the Time Eater affected all the timeline (except Mania one that i think is separated after generation event) so the deleted events from 06 still canon but just in this situation
So... I guess it´s Silver´s fault that Mephiles managed to merge with Iblis at the end... LOL, he refused to send Blaze to another dimension, which led to Blaze destroying herself along with Iblis, but Iblis still existed in the past because of this, he was only killed in the future...
I fucking hate this bit with a passion! It just cements the fact that she was so wasted in potential throughout the entire story. No joke, what else did she do before this? NOTHING!!! She is the videogame character definition of the term “Worthless”. The final ball twister is that this is the only time where Silver and Blaze actually interact with each other. All the other times where they did interact, it was usually about business and shit. But here... suddenly there’s character development! You can’t have a sad departure scene like this and dump any chemistry on only said scene. Hell, like Tails and Knuckles... Blaze is only with Silver when the plot calls for her. None of the conversations between the two before this part are even interesting so it really feels forced beyond belief. And we don’t see her after this scene!!! Silver doesn’t even feel any left over remorse in the final story, Hell, SHE’S NOT EVEN MENTIONED beyond that scene!!! For all the crap we gave Classic Sonic in Forces, he actually DID more in the story than Blaze did in 06, and Classic doesn’t even speak. I feel so bad for Blaze Fans around 2006. They just shoehorned her in so shamelessly for her first 3D debut (right when she already had an established Fanbase to) it was no doubt insulting to Blaze fans alone (excluding Silvaze fans)
@Neveah Evans “You can’t have a sad departure scene like this and dump any chemistry on only said scene. Hell, like Tails and Knuckles... Blaze is only with Silver when the plot calls for her.” Clearly you missed this part. And to add to this, a scene like this is nothing new for Sonic, Gamma and Shadow also had a similar scene for their respective games, but the difference is that we got to know Shadow and Gamma as characters. SA1 and 2 took the time needed to showcase and even develop them as characters. So when they do at least supposedly die, it leaves a great cap off. Gamma had gained a consciousness and destroyed the E-Series, with him getting destroyed in the process. Shadow made a promise to Maria, but had everything twisted. When he does come to his senses and realizes what she really meant, he helps Sonic, turns Super, and sacrifices himself. This scene doesn’t work because even if you played Rush, 06 retcons her original backstory as well as stripping her og personality along with it. Instead of taking the time to explore her with Silver to see how much they were great friends and how much of a great mentor she was to him, the game just tells us to take it for granted and go along with it. These two BARELY interact, and whenever they do try to get interesting, it doesn’t go anywhere. When Silver asks a supposedly tough question, Blaze’s response is “idk”, and it goes back to business. To further prove my point, she’s never cautious about Mephiles and never expresses her concerns to Silver. Throughout the entirety of his story, Blaze May as well be a cardboard cutout. So when Silver’s ending cutscene happens, suddenly... “CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT” with admittedly decent exchange, but it is SOO damn late in his story and it doesn’t matter in the long run. We don’t learn about her, nor do we see her grow with Silver. This is the kind of story you CANNOT fucking rush, PERIOD! Silver’s Ending Cutscene SUCKS!!!
