Come on, it's not that hard to differentiate. Egoism or selfishness both mean the same thing. It is just that individualist anarchism is about moral selfishness (that is anti-sacrificial), while people on the right are usually materially selfish but morally altruistic/sacrificial (just like Ayn Rand says with the self-sacrificial animal). The left is usually both morally and materially altruistic/sacrificial. The individualist anarchist is not morally sacrificial which is why he is against the guilt-tripping of the left that wants to make amends for its "sins" by using the State for its "moral" purpose. He is not against voluntary cooperation (same line as Ayn Rand), but he is not guilt-tripping like the right and the left. That's all :)
The issue is whether you think selfishness is a moral good or a moral bad. You're either a moralist or an egoist. Either you believe in ethical behavior for its own sake or believe ethics are a scam. Or to paraphrase Mike Tyson, everyone has a selfish plan, until they get punched in the mouth by someone else's selfish plan. 🤷🏽
For me, selfihsness is "for your own good". That's good for you. So ironic that we see selfishness as an insult when the whole system is based on it. Yet, it's inside that irony where the answer to the "why is the system like this?" resides.
