You Are WRONG About These Augments... (Fortnite Tips & Tricks) 

I think the Mythic Pistol augment has really only woken up people who were sleeping on how good the tactical pistol always was in the first place.

I don't know if I can say it's underrated but I really enjoy picking up demolitions munitions. Regular grenades offer a unique way to hit someone since they arc, and I think a lot of people just aren't used to playing against them and panic a little bit. The perk also let's me be more comfortable using them out in the open. I can hail Mary a whole stack at somebody without worrying about "wasting" them.

My top 4 Augmentations I use are "Storm Mark, Forecast, Splash Medic, Tactical Armory" My alts "Light Fingers, Pistol Amp, Mystical Pistol, Bush Warrior"

The only thing i will add about the mythic pistol is that you most of the time will only have a green pistol and this is one you do not have to find. Its just augment and into your inventory. It is very powerful for that.

i like soaring sprints mainly because i can jump off anywhere and not take fall damage...I think the explosives augment is absolutely useless and never take it...most of the players in my games aren't at the skill level to shoot me out of the sky, so the rift (at least at my level games) is a big deal for a quick getaway from pretty certain death...

Icy slide is amazing. It goes forever and INSANELY fast if you slide on ice with it, and makes traveling downhill at all like the speed of a vehicle instantly.

I’ve been using the soaring sprints most matches. It’s helped me quite a bit with movement pre hammer/cloud. It helps get me out of situations quickly similar to how you used the impulses the other day. It’s worked for me just getting to ledges at citadel or during some of those “city fights”around anvil

Switching guns during a fight is something I have to work on..I find myself using the tactical pistol all the time 🤦‍♀️

Hear me out, has anyone tried shotgun siphon and rarity check siphon with a green maven? Add in the hp and move speed on shield break augment? And maybe zero point augment on their shield break? I haven't tried it yet but so curious

Rift ejector and Bush Warrior is a lowkey OP combo lol found that out accidentally True competent players gonna shoot you out the sky like you said, but I found this combo out accidentally. I don't plan on using the rift one very often, just got it so I could unlock it cause I'm a completionist like that, (try to talk to all the NPCs every season for same reason, eventho it does nothing lol) But 1st time I got that rift one, had gotten Bush Warrior the previous perk... had a dude that rifted me 4 times in a row, kept relentlessly following me through my rifts when obviously he should have just beamed me like Jake would have lol but he clearly was failing at following me cause he let me just keep landing in another bush and getting right back to 150 (or 200 with overshield), all the while I was tagging him every time before he rifted me, so I was dwindling him while I kept going back up to 200 lol so after the 4th time, I killed him... he was definitely salty I imagine. Ended up winning that game, eventho the last guy had the balloons and was WAAAAY up in the sky, as I thought to myself "of course this is the last guy one of the rare times I have a Scar instead of a Red Eye" was so far up I would hit a shot every now and then, but overshield would just come back they was so spaced... his grave mistake was being cocky enough to come down and hover 10-20 feet above me... lit his ass up then.

One thing I’ve ran into when I have the rift to go augment is that people end up taking the rift w you and follow you in the sky to wherever you land. Can’t even get off heals. Usually have to land on a vehicle to get away. Really annoying augment imo.

The last one paired with bush warrior. Then you can carry all weapons . Or double mobility plus 3 weapons. I like two hammers always.

I’ve loved shooting people out of the sky (and having time to reload / heal before a third party me), but I’ve had a couple of times where someone’s rift screwed me. A couple in close combat where we both got rifted and I got shot down, and another bizarre one where a dude in front of me rifted while I was driving a car into zone, and my car got rifted with me in it, so I couldn’t deploy my glider. That one hurt since we were late in a chaotic end game and I was pretty stacked. I really wish augments like bloodhound / rushing reload / first assault / rifle recycle would apply to more weapons. As for me - I think soaring sprints are way over-hated. If you know how to use it in close combat, it’s a difference maker. As long as you’re not relying on it as your only mode of mobility, I think it’s an amazing augment. Plenty of times I’m soaring back and forth over a close combat opponent (or cover) and smacking them for headshots while they try to sort out where I’m coming down. I think it has a similar impact as zero point dash augment, except I can do it whenever. It’s also saved me from bizarre zone shifts where I didn’t have a way down without taking fall damage but hammer was on cooldown. Just sayin

Rift ejector (bare with me) - if you're running the kamy and the fight isn't going your way. Drop out of the rift, spot your opponent and kame them to oblivion from distance.

Tbh the balloon one is only good IF you’re trying to reboot a teammate and a team is somewhat near a reboot van Edit: I think that the Tactical AR is like a red eye for beginners and I love using it (I make sure to have a twin mag with me so I can spray close range)

For people saying that the rift augment is annoying, it’s the players that make it annoying not the augment

The recoil is absent on the mythic pistol. If you get AMP & light fingers… it’s extremely fun to play with and extremely lethal

Watch out for close encounters with someone who has the rift ejector as more than once the rift popped between us and we both got rifted, so you are trying to end the fight and a second later you are falling unexpectedly along with the person who had the augemnt so you are both falling. try to follow them down and then end the fight.

I died to someone else having the Riftjector, i got in a very close range 50/50 at Brutal during endgame. Also i felt bad for shooting out someone's balloons with red eye. It was the easiest kill ever.

Gold pistol, boy now that’s a beauty. Balloons terrible. Rift Aug is a pain I’ve had the aug to rift, rifted and same rift used to follow me and as I’m now very weak easy to take out, I’d rather have just fought and splashed or repositioned. Won’t be using it again.

Look at the fight with the fish skin @2:35 this is my biggest problem with the game people just running away constantly

I use the shock wave bow with the high jumping no fall damage augment.. And auto fill arrows. And I get insanely high. High enough to get on the smoke stacks. Even higher. Great way to get around.

Shotgun striker is amazing just shoot a chicken or boar or Wolf to health up.

the dash augment is too good

You genuinely made me a better player just by listening to you and adapting some styles of game play. Just won 3 games in a row flawlessly from not being able to get passed top 5.

If you get knocked in the air you can dash away while down with zero point dash! Helped me regroup for a revive!

Underrated : zero chance, shock wave bow, Overrated : rift ejector - reason being it’s more inconvenient then anything. However I do think for a majority of players it does save there behind. Beaming people out the sky isn’t always easy the red eye does make it easier though. But if you don’t have a tac rifle or red eye more so good luck. But I’d give it another week or so to see how they fit in.

Question to anyone who knows: I accidentally picked Party Time (the ballons) I freaking hate that augment but how can I remove it? Or am I stuck with it till the end?

More Parkour + Icy Slide = cracked

In squads the rift perk is almost always a deficit to the team. Pretty much always a free kill for us if we don’t get griefed by the trees.

I’ve won two games precisely because of the rift ejector. I was about to die, but was able to eject and come back and get the wins.

I feel they tried to make the shotgun siphon augment a little more balanced.

Rift augment hasn't helped us one bit in duos. My sis picks it. We haven't won one fight using it. It has never given us an advantage.

Balloon time and aerialist is a nasty combo for cycling mid game but it rarely happens for me

I think the comparison for the pistol isn't correct. While you are right about the data, most people are likely gonna get the blue pistol variant, which I bet there will be some difference with that verse the mythic. Because to get the legendary variant, you are either using gold, finding holo chests, or rare drops and thats not as likely as someone popping the augment. So I be interested seeing those against each other instead and see if there is a bigger difference. Nice video Jake.

I know you mentioned disliking the ice effect but icy slides is to the hammer what soaring sprints is to the bow. It like doubles the effectiveness of the hammers mobility

Soaring Sprints for hilariously OP endgame mantling (you can go two frickin floors on a mantle), Rifle Recycle for extended beams, Icy Slide are most underrated to me. Aerial assault is hella overrated. I can’t stand it cause the redeploy messes a lot with mantling. First assault is not good at all unless your accuracy is amazing. Not sure I think any other is severely overrated. Demolitions Munitions is fun, but not useful IMO

Another issue with the rift ejector is you can just kill em with the thunder after getting a few red eye shots in and they just die and the rift shows up after its hillariois

The Shotgun Striker in my experience I noticed if you shot tothe head you get more health kinda like 40 Hp/shield it's like syphon green or gray weapons heals you a lot if you finish the guy in the head that gave me like 60 or 50 health that's a W for me, but it's more for battle team modes bc you can finish easy the down enemies.

Someone followed me into a rift. I couldn’t shake them. They followed me around and got an easy kill when I landed

I agree on the rift augment being a free kill. even though my aim isn't very good, I still kill the person most of the time

I just got a vr where i cracked someone and they rifted i followed them into the rift and followed them down and pumped them as i landed obviously i was almost right behind them so they didnt get a chance to lock onto me between landing and me landing

Rift is dumb, it cost me kills more than anything, like when a guy is almost dead and they break my shield.

This might sound stupid but can anyone explain and how to ‘tag’ players?

Thanks for the video Jake. You help me make small changes that have a dramatic effect on my play. I am learning to reload my weapons, stay cooler at the end of games and I seem to have more thinking time as I change from gun to gun. I don't like the soaring sprint, too slow in the air, but my favourite is the pistol amp.

I actually use rift successfully many times and surprisingly been very successful at end game last 3 for some reason when I rift the other 2 players go for each other, the harvester augment I don’t feel is worth it

I played 6 duos games today and saw about 50 people who had the annoying rift perk 🙃

Bush warrior and the decked out cars are underrated. Bush warrior is literally infinite health. The decked out semi is clutch because of the 2 seats so it’s easy to switch back and forth. I don’t feel any augment is op they all have theirs pros and cons
