“If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it. The felon does not fear the police, and he fears neither judge nor jury. Therefore what he must be taught to fear is his victim.” -Col Jeff Cooper, USMC

Concealed carry doesn’t work where you have to go thru security, so have a manual backup like Matt was showing.

Bad advice. Its that mindset that causing us to lose gun rights in this country. I have a family. I know self defense well enough that I don't need to break laws and risk going to.prison over illegally carrying a firearm.

Matt, in Tim Larkin's book, "When Violence is the Answer", there is a diagram on page 128 "TARGET FOCUS TRAINING MASTER TARGET LIST". Could you please do a video explaining this diagram and your interpretation of it; specifically, the peripheral targets? I'm thinking of in karate class, we targeted the arms of the attacker if he held up or extended his arms. Called it Atemi strikes. Thank you in advance, Kip

Finally spring here in Norway. A long cycle ride on my ebike is just the right amount of exercise for a 65-year-old man. Then there was a round with the cane. Nice workout too. I feel safer with the Cane, but it is difficult to take on the bike.

I never figured out a good way to carry a cane on my motorcycle. Velcro ties worked, but then getting it out was an issue. I thought about trying a rifle Sling or a quiver, but then RONA hit

I was always a big fan of staffs I'm 54 been watching karate and kung fu movies since I was a kid my parents wouldn't pay for lessons so I never learned a martial art now I'm dying from cancer I used to be a big strong farm boy I would carry refrigerators by myself. I still try to move and bought a Jo staff from you and practice it as much as I can because I spend a lot of time at the hospital but regardless I live in a state where I always have an equalizer it's Mr sig Sauer p365 thank you for all the information even though I'll never learn a martial art I know at least how to practice protecting myself

A man walked in front of me on the street. Suddenly he turns around and punches me hard in the mouth. I couldn't raise my arms and went straight to the ground because I hit my head on the asphalt. It was several years of pain at the dentist before I finally got permanent teeth. It happened so fast that I didn't even blink. This happen in safe Norway.

The cane is genius. Not a weapon, per se, unless you make it one... I've also been wanting to learn tonfa, but that's totally illegal to carry. The cane is just a cane, right? And those resistance bands look interesting ... I was going to ask how hard they are to stretch, but you kind of answered that question (depends on how wide they are).

All common sense . And self awareness is great , too . Learning many skill sets , one I like for exercise , is placing stock behind you or broom handle is great , then lifting over head both hands this develops wrists and forearms , twisting the wrist for strength ,and very tight. Forearms good then for blocks diversion of blows. Strengthening arms , and wrists , this helped me develop my techniques when it came to blocking blows , and then using slaps energy blows. , with twisting slap on ridge hand. , very affective , , with just slight movement , I used to break wood. Two inches thick with ridge hand being just about 4 inches away from it , using energy blow. Not just force , but technique , used to train on brickwork too for knuckle conditioning , of the two main knuckles. To strike with , most thickness wall I used to hit. Was about 2 thick in brickwork , made a big weightlifter gasp when I showed him. , he thought he was more devastating being solid huge muscle bound guy , until I told him to hit the wall , hard. , he would not. So I showed him. , how , told him imagine what I would do to your body if I hit you , he backed off very quickly , so sometimes no need to fight. , he was big huge me I am very small . But strength comes from within. Plus lots of training. , so I appreciate your videos. , both my children are seasoned fighters too . I have had to take many weapons off others in my day , and always gave them back , pointing out that outcome would be different if they continued , my children have had to do the same thing , in life. My daughter attacked when 15 years old by 3 fully grown men they all went to sleep very quickly , after about 6 very good techniques , they obviously needed a rest bless them , I taught my children from age of 5 years old my son now trains others in ,any styles many forms. .it's avery dangerous world ,

Yesterday I took my girlfriend out to dinner. On the front door were two " no guns allowed signs." I said sorry honey, but I'm not giving this place my business. I took her to another restaurant down the street. Could I have just left my pistol in the truck or gone in armed anyway? Yeah, but I refuse to spend my hard earned money at a business that doesn't respect my God-given rights.

I did not even view the video! That "splash screen" of you poking the CROOK OF THE CANE at your opponent is INSULTINGLY FAULTY! You have done a vast dis-service to your viewers! The opponent is likely VERY FAST and will simply grab your cane away from you and beat you to death with it! You will not have TIME to make any fancy move---DO NOT GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO GRAB!..........................elsullo
