@@Trishpaytaxes It's random, decided from the start. This was an era without much in the way of free games online, and games didn't cost much less despite your dollar being worth much more. So your average kid would end up playing most of thier games over and over. So Humongus got the idea of making multiple potential spawns for items and collectibles, and depending on the game they might change your cultprit or neccessary sidequests. So the kid would still be able to explore this world a few times through while keeping it fresh! Great if you were like me and only got a few new games per year.

This explains so much about my childhood because I remember replaying this constantly but I never memorized the Golden Pipe locations

IIrc, Pajama Sam crashed on them, and I think Dan took notice that the puzzle solutions (like finding Sam's stuff at the beginning) had changed.

@@brandsworth2022 I remember that, too! I don't think they've consciously applied that knowledge to this game, though. Or, at least, they haven't connected it back to the fact that there are empty spots.

I only knew of the Missing Kelp one because I had it as a kid, and some very vague memory of the schoolhouse one but thought that one was part of Missing Kelp. I hope the bonding experince will be enjoyable for you and your niece!

Poopy joe makes his return

It was my first (and obviously only) pc game!

Right?! Arin did like exactly what he needed, just in a different order but it didn't happen 😭

I think that was the problem. Most puzzles, you have to go get something, so they just assumed that. But yeah, Freddie called its jaws 'scissors'.

I was fuming at first then remembered who was playing. Kids games can just be too much for these two.
