This is not related to this particular video, but I did not know where else to post it. I want to sincerely thank you! I started watercolor a year ago (self taught..paint 2-4 hrs a day... yes I am consumed with this). I have probably painted 1000 trees, not one of which I was pleased with UNTIL I watched one of your videos from 4 years ago and you said to think"clouds." And you painted from the bottom up. Boom my trees look fabulous. You are the best!!!

I really appreciate you doing a wonderful winter ❄️ scenery painting. I am thrilled to hear about the 3 ways to approach painting this kind of painting. I understand completely how you feel about the snow being around more the a few days & being tired of it. White Christmas 🎄& enjoyable for a day or two 🥶but then I am ready for the warm sunshine. I am also glad to know that I have been using the same three colors (Cobalt Blue, Cereulean Blue, & Payne’s Gray) for my attempts to paint winter scenery. I have really enjoyed learning how to get the shading details right. Thanks for sharing this fun video.

Hello Steve, again just a marvelous demonstration of "how to..." I have a question regarding painting a snow scene. I am painting the Chapel in Yosemite (I am very lucky to live very close to Yosemite Valley). I have completed a summer version of this chapel and now I going to attempt to do the same chapel but it is a from several years ago. The foreground has changed somewhat but not the background. So my question is in you demonstration you have a few trees (evergreens) and the snow piled on looks great. In Yosemite there are several varieties of trees; deciduous as well as evergreens.. How do/what suggestion do you have for painting the deciduous trees are just finishing up the fall loosing of leaves and have a few inches of fresh early snow fall. Thanks for any tips and or references on where to look for approaching how to painting snow. Thank you very much. Blessings.
