-can you recommend what Bible highlighters you use? -For a cleaning vlog....maybe...are you a minalmist with items in your home? If so, what tips do you have in that regard? @@jeanpotter2163 yes they were or maybe even are. Nathan’s wife said in a post that he left that teaching when he became an adult. Bates went to the same IBLP conferences as the Duggars. Would love to hear how Alyssa came out of it. I bet it could help people.
@@gstaad71 They have talked about meeting at the conference. The man who was in charge of it back then was dismissed and it’s not the same. My understanding is that Mr.Bates has been trying to make it a place that can be trusted and that teaches the truth. In my opinion they could not have a better person to try to restore it to what it was intended to be. It’s obvious he and his wife have raised a wonderful family. Mr.Bates is a minister and loves his family. Mr and Mrs. Bates were never dogmatic about following IBLP. They wanted their children to know Jesus and love Him and have a deep faith. It appears to me that they have been extremely successful because everyone of their children are good, independent people. They were encouraged to go to college and pursue whatever they wanted to do as a career and in life. This applies to both boys and girls. If you watched the programs about the two families you can see the differences. You can also see the results of the way they were raised.
Just carry on, you both do it so well. Don't make it complicated it feels so real that way it is now. Thankfully far less intrusive questions this time for you to answer. We don't need every detail of your life and I am unsure as to why people think they have a right to know. Look so forward to your RU-vid every week. I always come away smiling after watching them.
I love all the things! I remember one of the first shows you guys did with BUB was where Alissa took off to clean other houses and offices as soon as John got home!

I love your new Bible! One of my daughters has that one. I love to take notes in my Bible. I am so sorry that yours got stolen! I’ve had mine since the 80’s and I’ve got so many notes,dates, answers to prayer in it…..I would be heartbroken if I lost it. So for that reason I don’t want a new Bible. 💕

It was good to hear you talk about the bible and reading it, the kids reading...more videos please on your faith , on Jesus, how you and the kids/your relationship with Jesus out in everyday life, what God is teaching etc... i always feel like this is lacking in your videos
This is a Christian couple and most of us who follow are believers and we want discussions about God and His word. As both of them are believers, they don’t have to worry about people unsubscribing, because God will take care of them and all their needs.
What Bible reading plan is that? Where can I get a copy? I was impressed how well the girls were reading, btw. My Bible was stolen once as well -- in a totebag that my mil embroidered for me -- with several other things like my notebook, church directory (!), and a movie I was going to return on the way home that I ended up having to pay for! I was crushed also but never recovered any of that stuff 😞 Never noticed the music at all, and all your content is interesting to our family! Love to see your personalities 🙂
I developed a reading plan for myself a few years ago by dividing the Bible into sections like I saw on your weekly plan. Then I counted up how many verses are in each section and divided each by 365. Then I would read like 16 verses of the law, 20 versus of History books, three verses of proverbs, seven verses of Psalms, nine verses of the gospels, and 13 verses of the Epistles. It was one of the most successful yearly Bible reading plans I've had. But I did miscalculate somewhere and they didn't all end up perfectly on December 31st LOL but Id like to try what I saw your family doing -- a chunk each week instead of a tiny piece each day like I did that time.

I'm super you know how expensive it is to live in Florida, we purchased our house with five acres seven years ago for under $200,000 and it's insane with the prices especially in Marion and Lake County.

My church just did the whole bible in 30 days. Really good way to start off the new year. Just a few hours every night. It went by fast and now we've at least read through it cover to cover.
Our son just turned 6 and last year he and I read through the whole Bible. We are doing it again this year. We are reading ‘Day by Day kids Bible’ by Karyn Henley. It really is laid out well for Kids and goes through it all in a way our son totally gets it. It does take out some of the complicated this like son of son of. Etc. it is in Chronological order- in the order they occurred. For example David’s psalms with the stories about his life. Highly recommend it. I think it is good to read it this way so they get the full understanding…then they can go on and read the complete way and have cortex of what is happening.
Years ago when I was working at the Lake Beuna Vista Walgreens. I would read my Bible on my lunch hour. I guess the case it was in looked like a small laptop maybe. Someone broke my car open and stole it. Plus a few other things. I was upset over my Bible more than anything. But I figured they must have needed it.
I'm not sure what cleaning series was asked for but with our home improvement channel we will do different series of say how to clean your stove top, washer/dryer, shower etc.
I'm wondering if your daughters ever ask questions about the bible verses they read? Some of the Old Testament passages can be a difficult read. God bless your family and the beautiful example you are setting for them to see, loving parents is one of God's greatest gifts. ❤

I know the loss of something you’ve had for a long time and cherished is hard. Especially since you’ve taken notes and had them written in that bible, but I honestly believe that God knew all the study notes you had painstakingly taken and knew what a good job you had done and said this person needs this more than you.
Yes I have watched vlogs where all the person does is clean her house or goes to the grocery store and then I wonder why I’m watching it when I’m doing the same thing lol
