I've seen from multiple sources to NOT level Isaac's magic defense (and I've taken that advice), but I'm curious what the theory is behind it. Is it simply to allow more magic damage in to allow him to charge/ult faster?
@@HeroWarsCentral Does the same go for glyphs? i have a little bit invested into his mage def skin and glyph when i didn't know any better. Really wish we had the ability to reset some of those
Yeah, it seems to be a matter of how the damage/charge formula is structured by his MP-300 skill. If the skill converted incoming magic damage to charge BEFORE his magic defense reduced the damage he received afterward, then you'd want to max his M.Def since he doesn't gain energy from damage the same way other heroes do. Unfortunately, his M.Def reduces the incoming damage first, then the MP-300 capacitor converts the reduced damage to charge. He takes less damage in the long run, but at the cost of charge accumulation. Meta team damage output is primarily about Jhu being able to rapidly land fully piercing crits which Seb double-dips on with battle song and Albus triple-dips on with patronage and concentration. If Isaac ults less frequently, stacking fewer AP artifacts, Jhu cannot fully pierce Osh's armor. Even being one activation short of the piercing threshold drops the base physical damage he deals off a cliff. Seb and Albus will still be multiplying that base damage if Jhu scores a crit, but it will be
so, unlike Isaac where you don't want to level a certain aspect, with martha it's just, if she's a little weaker she will do her special ability more. this is the info I was coming here to learn, I can upgrade her quite a bit in the ascension spire but was worried about ruining her because I hear it all the time, don't level your martha too high, she will be less effective. I am only about 75K power level with her so I will keep working on her. thank you, this is the exact info I was looking for
I forgotten why I had not leveled her , the rest of my OSH team was leveled so thought I would give Martha some love and now my OSh scores are worse , Martha , Sebastien , Nebular , Jhu , Issac
Agree! My Osh team is quite level up. Some week I'll do 100M damage and sometimes as low as 3M like last week. Like many thing in this game there is a lot of nexter random!
but i find my problem in the osh fight is that those things that come up from the ground like the phobos attack is there a way to avoid those or do you need to use axel or what?
also, if the other characters are dying first, the problem is that they are too weak, not that the one who survives is too strong. back to the gym analogy - just because some guy in the gym can bench press 500 lbs does not mean that your ability to bench press is reduced.
my martha is 126k without pet (red fully ascended except last health and magic defense) full gifts ( for now) solar skin @ 20. she barely lives Vs osh 160 which is great. you want her attack high, but her magic def and armor lower so she takes damage and ults quicker. Mine ults twice per storm once at start and once at the end.
It doesn't seem like it's that you built your Martha too high, but more that Martha doesn't need to be as strong to survive unlike other heroes. So, it's more to the point that you should stop using resources on Martha and use them on say Isaac and Sebastion or whatever hero you are building up.
I am wondering how you can do so much damage against 160 Osh.. In our guild there are about 10 (nearly) maxed Osh teams and they usually make less then 5M damage. Our guild wants to start at level 130. Is this the reason? I mean not enough guild morale points?
Would you think that it's better to build Martha more towards healing rather than for the ultimate when one is at the point of using Albus instead of Axel, because it becomes more difficult to tank Osh?
He does not recommend upgrading Isaac's MD. I don't think that anybody does. Regarding armor, yes for Isaac, Astrid, and probably Martha. Martha should be levelled up a bit at a time, only as needed, I think.
this is a very weird criticism. If you suck against a boss with a very strong character, then you would have sucked even worse with a weaker version of it. Just like if you are trying to bench press 200 lbs, but can only do 150 lbs, then being even weaker would not help you to bench press those 200 lbs. You would in fact be further away from being able to bench press 200 lbs.
