definitely is great for the game, brought in a ton of players to the game and got a lot of players to return like me as it made high level bossing doable without needing to sweat and have a hundred different switches. Game would 100 percent be dead if it wasn't for necro

@@Fro609 to be fair, necro also pushed away many players. being able to get a strong t90 setup by basically just leveling the skill and killing a few bosses felt really discouraging after I spent tons of time grinding rax for t90 weapons, kerapac for gconc and other bosses. the rest of the styles and effort i'd put into them felt pointless as I could've gotten there in like 20-30hrs of doing rituals. I'm not saying necro didn't pull in new players but it definitely alienated and pushed away many others too. A bunch of rs3 content creators like Maikeru, Wazzy even EvilLucario moved to osrs due to all this.

They are tho. What does this actually prove? That Necro has a simple enough DPS rotation that it can be put on a Revo bar? Cuz... That's it. It's got nothing to do with an indicator of balance at all. Defensively, every style can do this. This isn't exclusive to Necro. Offensively, the other styles simply just "do their DPS rotation" and Telos dies before it's even over (because his HP at 4k% enrage is the same as at 300%), the only difference is the 3 other styles need to press more buttons. Does that really make those styles harder though? Not really.

Huh? Necro LITERALLY works and highlighted that the other styles just don't. Necro showed us that, yes, we can have a combat style that feels fun, engaging and rewarding with 3 basics and next to zero bloat. Hilarious thing is, it isn't even the best style right now - Ranged is (and has been for quite some time frankly), and Melee is also strong AF. Necro is just accessible and playable, that's literally it. The fact this is doable on Necro doesn't mean it's broken (The elitist idea that you have to manual everything to be good at PvM is the dumbest shit ever and needs to stop). Like, literally all that's happening here is a Living Death Rotation. He'd have actually died if he didn't proc Dodge twice in a row on boulders btw, so this isn't even consistent lmao. There's fundamentally nothing different here than someone manually doing P5 4k enrage normally, outside of they'd likely move and not just pray Dodge saves them.

@@byronmanwaring3834 It's not though. It's literally exposes all the fundamental problems with RS3s combat and fixes them. The fact people see the Necro can easily be picked up with Revo for casual play but still takes effort to get the most out of and instantly thinks it "ruins the game" is so backward to me. This video literally proves fuck all too - all it shows is that Necros dps rotation is simple enough to be put on a revo bar; the other classes can still literally sit there, not take damage (they literally do the same defensive ability usage) and kill the boss about as quickly (300% enrage and 4k+ enrage have the SAME hp), they just require you to press a few more buttons and specs because their kits are so bloated and awkwardly designed (and NEED those specs and enhanced abilities to actually function). Need I remind you, the other styles are all playable and do just fine. Magic is still A LOT stronger than Necro for Elite Dungeons, and Range and Melee are both insane for burst damage. Necro just happens to be easy to gear (and again, doesn't need near BiS to FUNCTION) and simpler to play, that's it. You're so used to a game with so much bloat and filler and clunkiness that as soon as something well designed is put infront of you, your sunk cost fallacy kicks in and now you're pissed because Necro works and the other styles don't (unless you spend literally BILLIONS on gear and ability "upgrades" for your style to actually function). If you're going to complain about Necro, at least focus on its actual issues - It takes a bit too much design space from Magic (It's Tanky, has a lot of utility and has similar play patterns that also doesn't require 4b in items to achieve), and it's execute is literally unhealth for the game. But the actual style overall? It's solid. It actually works. What ACTUALLY needs to happen is the other styles need reworking. Entirely. Problem is, they can't do that - With ability codexs and gear effectively being used to fill the gaping holes of the class identities for each style, they'd have to rework so many items and ability codexs on top of the styles themselves and even IF they turned out well, people would be pissed because "they paid for that gear and now it's different waaaa". So, unless Jagex can put out a miracle and ignore their baby minded playerbases kneejerk reactions for once, I'm sticking with the only playable combat style.

I started playing again 2 weeks ago, first time since necromancy came out, and I'm loving it. I'm still using my other combat styles most places bc I'm only 86 necro, but it's very nice to not need to spam my keyboard to kill a boss.

@@zlargo6491 I said it was integrated poorly not that it shouldn’t have been implemented. I disagree with the fact that they made the gear craftable. It should drop from bosses like the rest of the gear in rs3. Or be a bit harder to obtain. I had t90 in 3 days. They changed the game when they made high end tier easily accessible. You don’t have to work for anything anymore. The combat rework is really terrible for low levels now. Make a new character and use anything but necro and you will see what I mean.

Also, I pvm with nothing but a revo bar, always have. Ultimates and everything. Other than the occasional poor timing on a sunshine, it works fine and necro has not changed my play style one bit

Rs3 has the most crybaby and lowest skilled player ever. But cant say much because 90% of them are 30 year old geezers who cant comprehend anything more than 10 apm.

So the peak difficulty of Rs3 should be subject to being afk? this isnt a hot take this is just nonsense. You realise KK even back when it dropped BIS was considerably less difficult and you couldnt afk it :P

Range and Melee both outperform Necro right now though lmao... (And Magic isn't even that far behind either) The only reason those styles can't do this is because they all have 20 filler abilities that need to be pressed in a specific order to function. Mage's FSOA rotation is like 20+ buttons (Which is just awkward to put onto a Revo bar, because the old classes are badly designed with insane ability bloat) - Necro's is 4; both output similar numbers. Btw, he'd literally have died here if he didn't proc Dodge twice in a row against 2 boulder hits, so this isn't even consistent lmao. If you wanna critique Necro for anything, Dodge is literally the biggest problem with the entire combat style (and even then, Animate Dead is significantly better if you're getting hit often). This dude is LITERALLY spreading BS because he knows RS3s community hates the game and it gets him clicks. Every RS3 content creator is the same, and you're lapping it up.

There isn't a single tab target mmo where you need to press 20 basic filler skills consisting mostly of "I hit the guy" and multiple weapons swaps and specials just to have a functioning class. By all means, call out Necros ACTUAL issues (The fact it shares too much design space from Magic as a tank, or that having an easy 30k hp execute is bad design), but calling the style itself "bad" because it showcases the utter failings of rs3s entire combat system is laughable.
