I grew up with super thick brows (and actually a unibrow lol) and ppl would tell me i'd look better if i tweezed them. Hola guapa! it took me a long time to learn this myself but as mentioned previously, whenever someone has something mean to say about someone, look at the root of the issue. It must be because there is some unresolved pain going on with them that they feel the need to take it out on other people. And when i remember that, i just feel sorry for them and go on about my day because I get the issue is really not with me but with them. hope this helps in some way!
