The Endless Upgrade Extractor is one of the rarest and probably least document items in the game. Buying a contract will set you back anywhere between 1000 and 2000 gold, which is an amount only a small percentage of players will be able to cough up.
Or you can get lucky and get one as a super rare drop from opening a Black Lion Chest.
The extractor can be used to extract upgrades (runes, sigils, jewels) from gear, which would let you insert a new upgrade without destroying the old one. Keen players have discovered that this can be used for profit as well, as you could extract the upgrades and sell those on the trading post. As well as salvage the leftover item.
Finding which items to buy to make a profit is an arduous task, as not a lot of players are going to want to divulge their methods. They would lose their gold making advantage after all.
The item itself isn't all sunshine and rainbows, though. Extracting a large amount of upgrades will soon take a toll on your wrist, and there is no clear cut remedy for this problem.
I did some research, nonetheless, and am happy to share my finding with all of you!
