Obviously I struggled growing up being called ugly for something I can’t change but I learned to eventually love what I have been blessed with. Please don’t use dangerous products on your skin or believe in those skin bleaching methods you see online. Even tho I’m tan I can easily look white skinned with the right filters and lighting. This vid is prob for those who are light skinned naturally but got tan from being outside a lot. Either way if you are dark please believe me when I say your skin has been blessed by the sun☀️💕

Why do ppl hate dark skin so much

I don't understand the reason why you want to change the natural color of your skin. In Asia you all are obsessed with whitening your skin and in the West they are obsessed with tanning it. There is no middle ground. Beauty standards can be very harmful, especially for younger people and people with more vulnerable self-esteem. Rejecting our natural aspect of our physique just because of sexist canons seems very sad to me. In this case wanting to whiten your skin because you reject your natural tan tone seems to me like internalized racism endorsed by a society. I know that you don't do it with bad intentions and neither do most Asians, but we should think about why having dark skin looks bad for alot of people there.
