Ive done similar. But I used nylon hanger strap fpr supporting HVAC ductwork. Big roll, cheap, and I use that strap for many things.

The strap was an interesting way to go, most people would just throw simple drywall screws in there and call it a day

Yeah, that would work fine, but I like the traditional way

This dude paid for 12 linear feet that he didn’t need to (cut 12”+ off each board). Buy by the foot, not by the board. Just get what you need.

I wish people would say precise instead of OCD.

The bed was a 1000 dollars off? How expensive was it even? I never paid more than 350 for a bed. Anyway nice work on the slats!

bought ryobi drill refurbished at factory outlet for $11 five years ago. Still works like new. I am not contractor though. Best money spend on tools so far.

That strap rofl! That’s not doing anything but keeping them from moving APART from each other 😂

You spent more in supplies than you spent on the cheap headboard and frame it came with! 🤦🏽‍♀️🙄

I bought ratchet straps there. Same size. Who care what kind of 'buckle it has on it if you are just going to cut it off. $1.99 I would bet one strap was long enough to do your entire job. The point? If you are going to save money, then save money.

A) he never said the buckle mattered B) an 8’ strap wouldn’t cover both sides C) they came in a 2 pack anyway so might as well use them both

If you wanna save money, then just nail it. Abut $.20 worth of nails will do it.
