0.25 sec is literally the entire animation time (regarding the flashlight blind speed) to fix this, they’d have to lower it to 0.03 or make the flashlights Insta blind or just remove this feature entirely. 💀💀

You’re right, I totally forgot about that. I guess bhvr forgot too. I don’t understand why timing is such a big deal though. Yes, a skill or technique requires practice to learn…like anything else. I don’t think there should be a window this forgiving for flashlight saves.

The change doesn't increase the number of situations where a flashlight save is possible - It only makes the situations where you CAN save easier to time. If flashlight saves are as "OP" as you say they are, then the only thing holding them back is ping and bad players.

@@alyssa5534 To be fair, a lot of people don't play enough or don't make custom lobbies with friends to practice flashlight saves over and over to get "skilled," so flashlights are daunting to new players or anybody who has no experience with them. Then people will say "omG HoW DiD YOU miSS ThAT???" when they no-life the game... I think it's a good change. Trust me, flashlight timing isn't as big a flex as you think it is.

@@mitleid_en I don’t think it’s a flex. I can’t hit every save myself because I don’t have the timing down. But I have done it successfully and I know it just takes doing it more and more to get it down. I don’t play customs or swf. My only practice is solo q. And yeah I think it’s fine for certain things to be “daunting” to new players. It’s a horror game and they need time to learn everything about it while at the same time being scared or weary of it all. I don’t believe skillful actions like flash saves should be more accessible to new people, it should be something they figure out how to do along with every thing else. Saves come with time and they’ll have fun swf’ing while they do it (since that’s the most common scenario). Btw the people you described sound like jerks lol who cares if you miss a save, just have fun and be nice. I just ignore them because I don’t know them so their opinion doesn’t matter to me. That’s the message from this if anything I guess.

People who could time blind saves never missed flashbang anyway. timing blinds was one of the most simple skills in this game and its amazing its too rough for smooth brains to figure out

Since you now have console players playing with PC some changes have long needed to be made. I don't care how skilled a person is, flashlights were basically unusable on console.

@@sirbear4962 flashlight saves can't be done from locker grabs anymore. Pairs of coordinated survivors with flashlights could use locker saves as a way to never get hooked (if you're about to go down just hop in a locker and the killer either has to grab you and get stunned or leave you alone)

Look at a wall. I hate pulling the "all you killer mains are so crybaby!" Thing but like seriously. It's an extra .25 seconds. If it upsets you that much, look at a wall. Or run Infectious Fright. Don't dedicated one gimmick perk that ruins fun all because your too lazy to look at a wall or scout out an area before you pick up. There's so many more different, fun and effective things you can do instead of just admitting you suck at spacial awareness and running a lame perk. But I'm just a toxic survivor, right?

Flashlights loose games because survivors focus on getting cool saves and stuff instead of doing gens. Lightborn makes them go back to gens since they can't save. Never was meta, never will be. It only helps out bad killers.

@@Felix-hv1li They don't use their brains, there are 40 ways to counter flashlight saves - be more on your guard when you know there is a lot of flashlights in the lobby - lick the wall - patrol around - fake grab - do not look in the direction where there may be a guy hiding - 180° Flashlight are the worst item in the game - it's useless to blind the pallets because the killer has ears and the survivor loses distance "even more when the survivor is injured" - the flashlight saves are useless because generally the killer will use one of the techniques that I mentioned above - the only positive point is the fact of maximizing your chase points faster or destroying baby killers, but they are lose anyway so.

That's exactly what I'm saying. I've been playing the game for year's and I had to learn a lot about the game and now they are just doing this like bruh these patch notes are so dumb and they also need to stop holding these killer mains hands cause these updates keeps making the killer stronger and there has been more killers camping/tunneling, at this point they gotta revert DS and some other perks and especially the old tiles since bloodlust got a buff a few months ago. These new tiles ain't gonna help, it's awful.

Anything they do to try and close the gap between a new survivor and an experienced one is considered hand holding.

The game is already survivor sided. 2 people on a gen each with proves is a 32 second generator.

@@nickeh7 2 people on a gen without prove is 52 seconds, if they now each have prove then gen takes 30% less time to complete, and 52 - 30% is 36.4 (yes, it is a different answer than before, I must've messed something up.) Genuinely asking, how did you get your number of of 46.04? (Again, just a genuine question)

@@Username-vn1wx Prove gives a speed boost of 15% for each survivor OTHER than the one getting the buff working on the generator. 2 survivors working on the gen only get a 15% bonus to repair speed each. Rounded up that’s 2% repairs done per second for two survivors combined, which is roughly 45 seconds. That’s where the 46 came from, from math. Check the DbD wiki for confirmation

I don’t think Lightborn is OP. Killers waste one perk slot to cancel a specific action that might screw them over in the long run (especially well-versed SWFs).Also not many killers run Lightborn and as a survivor I don’t go against many killers using it. If anything it’s one of the most fair perks. I don’t see why people complain about it.

@@toxicneamain It's not a wasted slot, Lightborn is useful in chase as much as it is during pick-ups when you don't have to worry about being dumb-teched or w/e else. Plus you can see survivor's auras after they attempt to blind you which is very useful.

@@deathryder_j yeah the only thing that pleases me about that change is that I can safely slap Lightborn and don't care anymore, cuz before I had to care if survivors actually can blind me at correct timing so taking it will be worth it.

Ong I only get one perk basically cuz I use lightborn to not get blinded every 5 seconds, mad grit so I can actually hook people, and shadowborn so I can see. And people say this game is killer sided

personally im fine with a timing increase, just that 0.25s is ridiculous. on top of that, the angles are still broken enough that you can be blinded by someone outside of your FoV(some killers like trickster feel like they have basekit shadowborn, maybe the angles make sense there but havent tested)

Bubba is already not that strong and has a lot of counterplay making him not even get a basic hit after tantrum is just stupid.

I have played over 1200 hours and I've never gotten a flashlight save. I thought it was too difficult for me as a console player. Maybe I'll give it a try now
